  • What worries me is the distinct possibility of more attacks like the one at the Boston Marathon. Two young men, using unsophisticated bombs, killed three people and injured 170 more, many of whom lost limbs. They then killed a cop and badly wounded another. It was a media sensation, the networks ran 24/7 coverage and repeated videos of the bomb explosions endlessly, it was terror porn. Then the authorities shut down the city of Boston for almost five days, causing perhaps a billion dollars of economic loss. The attacks were successful beyond the wildest dreams of the brothers and their handlers.

    It's a safe assumption that jihadis and jihadi wannabes all over the world took note of the chaos and will be making plans accordingly. I think we will see more such attacks in the future. If two Muslim punks can terrorize a city maybe next time they'll try to terrorize a state or a nation.

    We've been warned.

  • Once again I have seen pleas to not hold this attack against a specific group, like they did after 9/11 (even Jack Bauer had to do a public service message like that during a season of 24). I have seen MILLIONS of a SPECIFIC GROUP literally dancing in the street over our dead children. I kinda consider that a sign...
    Also, if these brothers were white tea partiers, these same people would be denigrating the entire organization and would paint every member with the same brush. Obama would be flipping tea bags again when he spoke about it.

            Thumbnail sketch. Guys wife is bugging him to renovate what started out as a utility washroom/bathroom in a huge unfinished basement 25 years and 4 kids ago. It's really nice now and he's willing to spend the money on one condition.

            Guy can't stand to hear the toilet flush. ( I s*&# you not) Guess it'd be pretty hard not to with 3 teens & their friends, or your own Masters or Super Bowl party with the giant tv downstairs. Not to mention his home office is down there now too.

            Stud frame built so 1 1/2" to work with. Have you ever heard of residential soundproofing that works and foam filled interior baffling doors? New one on me, but he's a great guy, and I'd like to help him out but I have no clue what works and what's bs. Any experience?

          • HMMM, silent flush?
            The framing is only 1-1/2"? What did he do, turn the studs sideways?
            Anyway, he could try foam board insulation in the walls, and a solid core wood door. If you made a mistake on the wall framing, and it is actually 3-1/2", then just use R-11 fiberglass.

          • I did, turned it in my head. I didn't think R-11 would do it and dismissed the thought but it'd be easy enough to check. They're going all new everything and he knows the drywall's coming out, I probably have enough in the barn to pack the bare walls and just flush the damn thing before pulling it. That way he can decide if that's enough or he wants a new door too. If it's not enough I can roll it back up and put it back in the barn and look for something else, no harm no foul. Thanks.

          • If the R-11 isn't enough, then you can always buy a couple of bundles of the non-fiberglass blow in stuff. Break it down and pour it into the cavity when one wall is drywalled, and the other is bottom half done. Then put plastic sheeting on the top half most of the way up, and pour more in, until you fill the cavity, then put up the last drywall. That stuff should do a better job than the fiberglass and it isn't itchy.

  • I guess when you claim you killed the leader of Al Qeada in order to lull your people to sleep, this kind of shit happens! Ask yourself if you think the war on terror is over-or if bin laden is even dead-they lie about everything else! This country is in deep shit-and he wants our guns for a reason-so that he can bring us to our knees-and he WANTS the terrorists' help doing so.
    I think the guys in boston threw a monkey wrench into his plan when they got that fucker alive. We'll see where it leads-meantime, lets see what Glen Beck has to say day after tomorrow! The shit is hitting the fan, and I think it will splatter all over the Golfer/S.W.A.G-er in chief!

  • I'd feel better if it was the state police or Boston police. The FBI is a group of clowns. Waco, Oklahoma City, TWA Flight 800, 9/11, the forensic lab scandal, and now Boston - it's really hard to tell who's side the FBI is on. The Washington Beacon is reporting that government insiders say the FBI, per official Obama policy, is refusing to use the word "Muslim" with the word "terrorist" when talking about the Boston bombing. What a bunch of morons. You can bet your last dollar the Boston cops aren't afraid to say "Muslim terrorist." Let them look for the sleeper cell.

    • Nope, the party line from this corrupt administration is to blame Conservative, Christian, Caucasian males who value their Constitutional Rights for all the evils in the world.

    • One of my step sisters sons just became an FBI Agent. It's hard not to razz everyone about it.

        • As an aside, years ago I went to the FBI building in Washington, DC to make a sales call. The building takes up a whole large city block. I was already hot after walking over from the Department of State. Every door I went to was not open to the public.

          After walking almost all the way around the building I finally found out you had to enter at the driveway for the underground garage.

          Remember, it's hot and humid and I'm wearing a suit and tie and by now I'm pissed off.

          After going through a metal detector, then getting the magic wand treatment you go into a waiting room. You have to tell them who you are and who your there to see and why, show ID, then you have to wait for an escort.

          Behind the counter was a portrait of Louis Freeh and Janet Reno. I looked at the photos and asked the two guys if that was the last line of defense? They looked puzzled and asked what I was talking about. I said well, if the terrorist get this far I bet they'll run like hell when they see that picture of Janet Reno. The two guards and everyone waiting busted a gut.

          I'm still amazed to this day that I wasn't arrested.

          • I had to google her. Her name was familiar but not really understood it so now that I have seen her picture... I get it.

          • I only made two permanent friends in college. One of them is a lesbian. Back in the 90s, via email, I made a joke about Janet Reno no worse than yours and lost a friend. Gained her back for about two seconds, then she had a fit about my conservative website and I decided she was too much work to be a friend. She worked for Janet Reno and (no surprise) idolized the woman.

    • Now that's funny. Sad thing is you could change the examples to xyz network and title to professional-MSM+sleuthing and it'd be just as true but pathetic instead of haha.
