• Why is this piece of shit wearing the uniform with insignia in place and merit awards still on his chest? He plead guilty, he leaked classified information that MAY HAVE, those are the key words here, may have put his fellow soldiers in danger. As far as I am concerned he should be sentenced to a minimum of 20 years hard labor for his actions. If it could be proved that information he leaked caused the death of even one soldier then he should face a firing squad. Given the fact that his actions may cause a serious problem in our foreign relations for years to come he deserves the death penalty anyway.

    • Bullshit. I would never have done what he did so I would not have had to worry about pleading to anything. He should have thought about the negative impact his actions would have on his fellow soldiers, like putting their lives in danger, instead of his little piss ant complaints against the military.

        He is nothing but a scapgoat, a scapegoat hidding that the US governement and military does not know who the real hackers or spies where.

        • I'm not so sure about that, I haven't even heard him claim that during trial.
          If that were the case, don't you think it would have come out by now?

• At the link, Katy Perry's ex-husband, comedian/actor Russell Brand makes a defense of Manning. I happened to see one of his movies on TV a couple of weeks ago, "Arthur". It was fair at best. I'll probably turn the channel from now on when I see him. The way the Manning story is being presented, the lead being about the one charge he was acquitted of, is so deceitful of the media.
