BREAKING: CNN reports Rand Paul in, Mike Huckabee out of next debate. Not to belittle anyone but it’s about time the debaters were reduced to the one’s who have a shot at the presidency. The others are only taking away valuable time from them. Frankly just getting rid of Huckabee is not enough. Hopefully they’ll get rid of the pre-debate debate, too, which accomplishes nothing.

  • The sooner they get rid of the likes of Bush and Christi Cream, the sooner I stop getting all that junk mail begging for me to to vote for them.

  • It is time to dump all the second stringers, nobody polling under 10% should be allowed on the stage. Trump, Cruz, Dr. Carson and Rubio, everyone else is dead weight and wasting everyones time.

  • Screw the journalist asking questions. Throw out the topic and let it be a 5 minute down the line debate. Then 3 minutes to rebut any comment made by the others on the stage.

      • It worked too. You found out quickly who had put in the time to prep for the debate. Who was able to think quickly and counter any effort to make them look like they didn't know what they were talking about.

  • Dump the pre-debate, then axe Huckabee, Paul, Christie, and Bush. That would make it more manageable.
What really pisses me off is Paul slamming the others, saying they're not Conservative, but he's the one I blame for Bitch McConnell getting reelected, because he endorsed him.

    • I have to agree about bitch the mitch droopy eyes McConnell getting the backing of Rand Paul. The "no one is home" Grimes was nothing but a sperm bucket for slick willy.

  • I would do the whole thing differently. I'd get rid of the journalists. I don't know how it ever happened that we decided we need journalists to moderate our presidential debates. They're generally the dumbest people in the building, and they're the ones asking the questions and choosing the topic? It's ridiculous. All they want is a mistake or a gaffe or a dramatic confrontation.

And I'd go one on one. If there's more than two people running, go round robin: everybody goes one on one against everybody else. Sit them down in two comfortable chairs, put a camera on them, and let them talk. Tell them no interrupting and no long-winded monologues. Have a referee who moderates only to the extent of stopping those two infractions. We don't even need to see the referee. Hire some retired judge or schoolteacher to be the referee and station them behind the camera so we never see them. That way we'd get to know what the candidates really think, whether they have the knowledge and moxie to defend their positions, and how they present themselves. As it's done now, it's a circus dominated by malfeasance on the part of brainless journalists.

    • Good ideas. The RINOs seem the only ones convinced we need the 'wisdom' of the MSM journOlists for these debates to occur. The GOP can do a lot of these via internet streaming now and cut out the MSM completely - if they wanted to.

      • A round robin with all the candidates going one on one against each other could have gone all day, like a wrestling tournament, streaming on the Internet. It would have been an awesome thing to see happen.

  • Hopefully they come to their senses and ax Christi and Bush. Only reason Bush has been protected thus far is because of his Father and brother. He's a legacy, nothing more.

    • The only reason Jebby is still around is Rinse-his-Penis and the establishment RINO's are trying to push him into the White House. They are scared shitless of Trump and Cruz and will back anyone in their attempt to get a bought and paid for candidate on the ballot.
