This sh!t is on par with what Josef Mengele did in Nazi Germany. Funding should not be this issue, prosecuting them under the RICO statutes should be.
I notice that the media are just ignoring this one.
They've abandoned the "heavily edited" claim, and they're just sticking their heads in the sand.
How does one defend cracking or cutting through the skull of a perfectly formed baby that was already in the birth canal in order to get to the brain for profit?
I am sure Brian Williams can tell us all about how he enjoyed his time at Planned Abortionhood as a "doctor", you know the time he took sniper fire and his BMW was shot up on the way to work......snark....
I have a simple question for the leftardian bastards out there:
Right now, women still have to do all the work, all the baby-killing lifting. How is that fair?
And yes, some LGBT are actually VERY HUGELY PRO-LIFE - particularly some of us from up north who are RC's - tho as much as we might not be going to church every Sunday, we still understand the basic laws of life given to us by G-d, which is why we're even breathing to begin with.
We know full well this is a procedure to encourage the riff-raff from procreating... however, some of the riff-raff actually have more sense than that. ANYONE who believes in furthering their race, their humanity, their family, does not fall for this evil bullshit remedy to population-control problems. That's why PP is such a big FAIL!!
BTW, i had a friend in Jersey City who used to ask me to stop on the way home (as i used to give her a ride after classes) at the PP office in town... she went up there to grab some condoms or birth control pills, i can't remember. (No offense to her, as she was a nice gal.)
You can buy condoms fairly cheap, can't you? I mean, if you're getting free rent, free heat & hot water, free phone, free food, free kickbacks of all kinds, such as earned income credits and college tuition, including some folks who also get free internet access and TV (or is that stolen?)... WHY DO YOU NEED FREE CONDOMS TOO???
In other words, what exactly do y'all spend money on that hasn't been paid for by someone else?
Write it in here now. Thanks. We'll leave you alone soon as we see what that might be: ______________________________________...
Alcohol, drugs, and lottery tickets.
Anyone want to pooh-pooh the slippery slope argument after this?
This is where we are today after starting off with "just an unviable tissue mass".
I am not religious. But this goes beyond that. There is no rational, logical, "objectivist" argument that can be made to convince me that when attitudes such as were on display on the part of the PP people in this video become widespread and accepted that we as a species are not in serious trouble.
As an agnostic libertarian, I would not support an outright ban on abortions. Of course, as a libertarian, nor do I support forcibly expropriating money from people to pay for anyone's abortion. You want an abortion? Go for it. You're on your own. Good luck.
However, let's keep in mind the proper role of gov't in society - to protect life, liberty, and property. So that first one, the one that we were told does not apply to "unviable tissue masses"? Does it and how would it apply?
Well, we have pretty clear-cut definitions for pulling plugs on patients on life support. Brain activity. Yes? Guy's alive. No? He's dead. Sounds rational.
What the hell is the problem with applying that to the unborn? Brain activity starts at about 5 months (best of my recollection, I did not search that again). So one Q should be asked - Is there brain function? Yes? Then it's a freakin' human being! No religion, no guru no method, no teacher (with apologies to Van Morrison). Science, plain and simple. And now it's the gov't's job to protect that life from whatever whims may come to mommy. No, it's not your body now. It's a human being.
PP should be defunded. It should have been defunded without these videos. It should never have been publicly funded in the first place. Then these people should be slapped with murder charges, and everything else that can be attached to the trafficking of human parts.
Yep...
My personal thing is that because the child is being formed allowances should be made, in my opinion, for a more pointed search of life or at least potential for life. By five or six months when there is actual brain activity, it is only four or three more months left of gestation. Excluding true situations where a Mother can truly be in mortal or great physical danger by giving birth (I cannot ask a woman to commit suicide or to allow herself to be severely handicapped), if a woman has carried the baby up to this point and there is only a few more months left, I cannot see the need to abort the baby.
If a child is able to react to external stimuli and feel pain, which is much earlier than that, I think that is a good starting point of the discussion as to when a human being is a potential human being and should be allowed to go through the process. Between the day or two that it takes for the semen to fertilize an egg to about three and half months there is a wide window of discussion as to when a potential human being should be allowed to go through the process... after all miscarriages (nature does not accept the child or the Mother's health prevents the child from appropriate formation) happens within this window of time. Since nature or Mother's general or acute health reacts to pregnancy (positively or negatively) around the first trimester, in my opinion, issues of abortion should be determined at this point.
"If a child is able to react to external stimuli and feel pain, which is much earlier than that ..."
I can't give you a good argument that life does not begin at conception. For that matter, I can't give you a rational/logical argument that it does not begin earlier than that. After all, the sperm "knows" what to do once inside. So right there, on some level a decision is made. Put a sperm into 125 deg. water, and then compare to one that has been in "normal" conditions. I think a very scientific argument can be presented that the latter is demonstrably alive and the former is not. No "faith" needed there.
I would present my definition the same way that the left presents theirs, with that same dismissive argument against the slippery slope - "no one wants to ..." "we just care about the health of the mother ..." "we all want abortions to be as rare as possible, but ...". It's a position that has a basis in existing law (i.e., the definition of death being cessation of brain activity). And of course with the left being so expert in incrementalism, just watch the squawking and wailing - just like when someone proposed ending partial birth abortions.
No I am not a woman. I have no personal experience with pregnancy. Not that I would actually advocate gov't control to this degree, but if a woman does not know she's pregnant into the 5th month (and she's not 12), then maybe she just does not have a sufficient responsibility level to be fertile in the first place.
and some people haven't done anything ambitious since that day they swam up the love canal.
you make a good argument, btw. thank you!
As we know due to several studies, rape and incest (of girls) are the most rare of circumstances for abortion. So yes it would be understandable if a girl doesn't know by the fifth month, but that would be extremely rare.
A woman knows or suspects she is pregnant pretty much when she misses her first or her first two periods. So right there it is the first trimester and like I said above... at this point there is a wide window as to when life starts and at this point a decision should be made, I have personal belief systems and many of them have nothing to do with religion (and especially after the Gosnell trial), that if the child is viable as he or she is forming, it should be allowed to continue the process, however during this three months' time it makes "sense" for a woman to make a definitive decision as to her pregnancy... after this I think it is criminal (if the child is viable and there are no real health issues with the Mother) to terminate the pregnancy. A healthy woman cannot claim not to know of her pregnancy after her first trimester is over. That is insane. She is lying. She probably couldn't get the man that impregnate her to take responsibility or she was trying to come up with the money to do have an abortion. Or she is a teen and was trying to hide it from her parents. Whatever the reason or excuse a woman or teen should not abort a viable human being after the third trimester (exceptions noted).
There are stories of fat women that didn't know and women with erratic periods due to pcos issue or other reproductive issues and these women actually give birth in their majority, cases like these I personally never heard that end up in abortions and in the cases of the fat women is because they give birth on the toilet or something...
So I seriously doubt that a healthy woman and teen cannot know, especially in this day and age with at home testing, that she is not pregnant within the first trimester. So for me it all goes back to the first trimester.
Like you said, there are arguments to be made as to life commencing within the first day after fertilization or even before that with your semen example. People need to get together, and that will have to include people from different religious and philosophical and scientific backgrounds (and many of them can be all of those in one person) and look at the first trimester only* and come up with the most ethical response to the question of life, if abortion continues to be legal. This should have been done AT THE TIME of Roe vs. Wade and not be left so open for so long. It was very irresponsible for this discussion and determination to not have taken place before legalizing abortion.
*As I mentioned after the third trimester if there is TRUE danger to life of Mother or handicap I cannot ask the Mother to commit suicide or to allow herself to be handicapped, however discussions about rape or incest are null by this point (that decision should have been made way before the first trimester was over... of course with the exception of little girls who may not know they are pregnant before which are the rarest of cases anyway, personally I would advocate for the birth unless the child's life is in danger). A woman or teen should go through the pregnancy by this point and look at other choices for the child if they don't want to raise the child themselves. Also even if the child will be born with a handicap or Down syndrome (etc), and the diagnosis was made after the third trimester is over and there is no miscarriage, the child should be allowed to live. The child may or may not recover or may or may not die that should be determined by nature (one can say G-D). Many handicap people have very full and meaningful lives. Personally I don't advocate abortions for children diagnosed within first trimester who have handicap, but again this is why the discussion of life should have happened and determined a long time ago.
Saying that knowing when life begins is above one's pay grade (Obama) is an irresponsible answer to the issue at hand. As a society, the question should have been responsibly answered before legalizing abortion and in my opinion based on science (and any other philosophical, ethical, moral or religious standards) concentrate on the first trimester because of the formation (of organs, nerves and limbs which makes a fetus a potential human life by any definition in my opinion) that happens during this time that leads to rudimentary feeling of pain and movements (Gosnell trial made that very clear to me).
As for rape and incest: If there is a "product of conception," then we have DNA of the father. There is no doubt. He needs to be executed.
A well-reasoned and actually eminently rational viewpoint. Not much more can be said.
A couple of thoughts:
"Saying that knowing when life begins is above one’s pay grade (Obama) is an irresponsible answer..."
A non-answer, really. I don't know the context of the answer nor the Q. Prima facie, it sounds analogous to that blonde woman from the DNC who would not answer the Q "what is the difference between a democrat and a socialist?"
If there is one skill that is purely one of politics, it's the immediate recognition and proper handling of a potential "gotcha" Q. And Obmana probably sensed that the life Q may be one, so he dodged it.
Yet another onto the looooonnnngg list of double standards: If a sperm and an egg were floating around in the San Joaquin River, you can bet the left would call it life and demand that farmers sacrifice their water for the benefit of these life forms.
Thank you. I actually do put a lot of thought on issues of this caliber or even of lesser caliber, especially if I affirm my personal belief systems as a base for my opinions. It is important for me to stand up for my faith and personal beliefs, but without rational and reasoned thought that goes beyond or in step with faith beliefs (which my faith, in the end, advocates I should have at all times, having reason and having faith are not contradictory), it is impossible to at least try to convince a person of one's position when the person is against religious beliefs to begin with.
Context for you: "U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama side-stepped a pointed query about abortion on Saturday by “mega-pastor” Rick Warren during a televised forum. Asked at what point a baby gets “human rights,” Obama, who strongly supports abortion rights, said: “… whether you’re looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity … is above my pay grade.” He went on to reiterate his view that it was important to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies. [Why is this important? Why are these unwanted pregnancies so bad that they HAVE to be eliminated? Odd] Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who followed Obama onto the stage of the nationally televised event, was more blunt and more emphatic. He said a baby’s human rights began “at the moment of conception … I have a 25-year pro-life record.” "

He "regretted" maybe because of blowback: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/26593948/ns/politics-decision_08/t/obama-says-he-was-too-flip-abortion-issue/
This quote by Biden was interesting: "For me to impose that judgment on everyone else who is equally and maybe even more devout than I am seems to me is inappropriate in a pluralistic society."
Interesting because it doesn't make much sense about imposing his beliefs on someone who is equally and more devout than him? So he is saying that devout Christians/Catholics should abort? :-/ It is one thing to say that in a society where not everyone beliefs like he does, it is hard to impose beliefs on non-believers, but to be okay with fellow believers (or those who say they do) aborting is weird to me. He should encourage Christians/Catholics to not abort at least. Odd.
"Yet another onto the looooonnnngg list of double standards: If a sperm and an egg were floating around in the San Joaquin River, you can bet the left would call it life and demand that farmers sacrifice their water for the benefit of these life forms."
Control over human beings for the sake of control or for the sake of the planet which means taxation and more control is the mantra of the left.
Ba-da Bing!!
Unbelievable.
I've always wondered, and I'm just a hammer swinging peon. Is it just me that equates all these black votes they've aborted over the years with why they're so pro immigration invasion? They may need the votes?
[edit] now who's the racist? the bastards
Scum of the Earth.
I haven't been able to watch these since the 4th one. These people are nothing but vile sociopaths and the conflict between disgust and outrage is too much for my brain to handle.
I don't care the left tries to spin this bullshit, there is no excuse for it, none whatsoever. Throw all of these losers in with a bunch of female ex-cons that aren't able to have children and let them got town on these despicable wastes of the human species. Maybe smear some blood from an aborted infant all over them and toss them in a cage in with a few lions.
Our enlightened liberal leaders have finally done it, we make the nazi's look good. Somewhere, somehow this is going to enrage someone to do the unspeakable against Planned Abortionhood, and the left will vilify whoever it is as another "right wing nut" because they saw wrong and tried to stop it. With liberals there is NO wrong anymore. Murder is okay in the name of the state.
A baby is just a mass of tissue. The same logic can be applied to liberals. they are just a mass of tissue, with a damaged brain. Democrat baby killers...Amazing how these people can look anyone in the eye when they are doing worse than the Germans did to the Jews, Stalin and Mao did to their own people. I guess in the liberal world this means we are all growed up now cause we kill just like the other dictators.
What a sick bunch of bastards.
I am all about aborting these people into hell.
They are doing that to themselves.
Like I said before I am not overly religious, but I know somewhere at sometime these abortion folks are going to be face to face with Hitler/Stalin/Pol Pot/Mao/Edie Amin/and a whole bunch of other mass murderers...And I don't think it will be a fun time.
