  • Before you buy into the "massive voter fraud" and "141%!!!!!!!" frothing....this is a non-story, and I'll tell you precisely WHY it's a non-story.

    The software used in Florida elections counts ballots as "cards." A one-page ballot counts as 1 "card cast" when it's read by the machine, a 2-page ballot counts as 2 "cards cast" when read, et cetera...

    So, what's on that second page? Of course, it varies by county/city/precinct, but it's going to be all the local races, tax propositions, and perhaps a few constitutional amendments. If a voter chooses not to vote on those questions, then they don't even have to turn in that second page of the ballot - which means that, given a two-page ballot, some voters have 2 "cards cast" while others have but 1.

    Here comes the math for St. Lucie County:

    124,606 voters * 2-page ballot = 249,212 possible "cards cast"
    249,212 possible "cards cast" - actual 249,095 "cards cast" = 117 "possible cards not cast"

    In other words, 117 voters didn't turn in both pages ("cards") of their ballot.

    The 141% shows up because the automated software divides "cards cast" by REGISTERED voters to generate turnout numbers, and it's expecting one "card cast" per voter. So...

    249,095 "cards cast" / 175,554 registered voters = 141.89%

    It's a flaw in the reporting software, but it sure as heck isn't vote fraud.

    • So far, all I see is people "explaining" this away, but there is no proof that your explanation is correct either. So, until I hear officially, I will look at the printout and say "bottom line - it suggests 141% voter turnout". Personally, I always keep an open mind, but I will no more trust YOUR explanation than I will trust that there was absolutely 141% voter turnout.

      And, I would have voted for Roseann Barr before I voted for Obama. She is just flaky. HE is lethal!

  • Now that we are saddled with barrycare and all the laws and requirements of it. Here is a novel idea. When someone files their taxes every year, they get a voter id card. That way, they have skin in the game and if you don't have the voter id card from paying your taxes, guess what you don't vote.

    As for the cheating what is to be expected. The sleazy bastards have stolen elections for decades and Col West is just the latest. There is no fucking way to have nearly 150% turn out.

      Verily, i understand your frustration. but you're solution is more full of problems than we currently face, imho.

      If we're to regain control of our nation, and by we I mean True Americans, those who're basically honest and upright, those who desire freedom, liberty, justice, and the responsibility necessary for these virtues, then we must bulldoze every impediment to the exercise of our individual rights, and THAT means imo doing away with income tax. Doing away with those who abuse the system, and doing away with unjust laws and regulations.

    • There is no way that would fly. According to the Dems, everyone should be allowed to vote. Old, young, incarcerated, dead, illegal - it's a free-for-all! It's like American Idol - not about serious things like the RUNNING OF OUR COUNTRY! Who will give them a free pack of pills? Who looks "hottest"? Who tells jokes on Leno? Who do they imagine will pay their rent and car payment? Who is BLACK? Get out the VOTE!

      And if our grandchildren are already in hock for it, who cares? It's not THEIR grandchildren. They have been taken care of by Big Daddy Government for so long, that they just can't imagine another way. They have NOTHING, and will never have anything, so there is nothing to take from them or their 35 grandchildren. So, give them a free phone and they will vote for Obama 10 times!

  • Once again we all knew this was going to happen. It's not he who votes, it's he who counts them.

  • Actually the problem with those results is that they had 2 cards per voter because the Florida ballot was 13 pages long. Unfortunately some counties weren't setup for 2 cards and doubt represented each voter in turnout tabulations. 141.1% therefor equals 70.55%. I really wish people would look at the actual data. I am trying to find legitimate sources of fraud but people keep taking these unofficial county results and aren't qualified to analyze them. Florida really needs to get their elections together though. Many Florida counties like Bay for example don't even breakdown their vote by precinct or poll location, which makes analyzing their data impossible.

      IHTM you need to nip this in the bud, or you will lose 2016. No one should have listened to Dean Chambers either.. ever. As I have said before, I have no desire to see Dems rule by demographic advantage for decades either. GOP must be credible

      • Exactly. In the comments below the article someone does the math and it worked out to about a 70% turnout. (Even less if there were 3 pages rather than two - the commenter wasn't sure.) That's still suspicisouly high in a nation where the turnout is about 33%, but it's not obviously fraud.

        • The Florida ballot was 3 pages on 2 sheets. The first sheet was all the offices on one side, and the first part of the initiatives on the other, the second sheet was the remaining initiatives on one side of the sheet.
          The sheets were coded so that they would only count as one card. You had to insert both sheets for your votes to be counted.
          In fact, if you accidentally inserted the sheet in the machine upside down, or bottom first, it would reject the sheet and tell you to reinsert it properly.

        • It depends on the county. Some had more ballot initiatives, but mine was only 2 pages. They had the pages set up so that when you entered them, they had to go in order, because they were coded for page 1,2, etc, and it didn't tally the votes until all the pages were inserted.

          Besides, if he bothered to read the chart, there are no districts that show 2x the number of votes, vs registered voters.

          • I had 2 sides of one and 1 side of another, and they were long. So 1 sheet in one time and it read both sides, then the other sheet and apparently it read both sides but found stuff only on one of them. Thing is, the sheets were given in pairs with serialized ID numbers to make sure you had the matching set. I voted once, not 150% of once.

  • Oh hell no!!! It is very possible that Obama was going to win anyway, but to do this it is just disgusting.

    • Looks like they covet votes as much as they covet the rich. It's all about power and control to them. We the government, not we the people, and God is out.

  • There should be court challenges to all of this sh*t up the wazoo. The Democrooks are cheating so fucking blatantly, they're not even trying to get the numbers to appear rational. Don't get me wrong, this does not undermine faith in the system, it completely destroys it as in nuclear-weapon level obliteration. If the GOP doesn't call them on this, they can forget about me ever supporting one of them again. I would just be wasting my time and money.
