• What??? I am going to have to start paying Buffaay to read IHTM?? That is where I get all my news. It is less slanted than the rags.

• I don't know about everywhere else, but in California, all the local rags want 75 cents for a daily copy, 2 dollars for Sunday. And half the paper is sports. Why buy what I don't want, just to throw it away? I get all my news from My Dear Sweet Olivia. She knows everything.

  • Jimmy Buffett is respectable, Warren Buffett is not. He's a dirtbag, & he's not wealthy because he is smart. He is smart, but his wealth is due to his ruthlessness.

• Actually, I think the story itself is a fairly level-headed assessment of market conditions regarding newspapers. Don't worry folks, just like they say that as long as there are final exams there will be prayer in schools, as long as there is a working internet connection, printer, word processor, or typewriter, there will be someone to get the word out. In old Soviet Russia, the y called it samizdat, and we'll have the samizdat here, if we need it.
