THOU MUST NOT LET PEOPLE DO ANYTHING RESEMBLING WORK UNLESS THOU PAYETH THEM MINIMUM WAGE, sayeth the bureaucrats.

It's not just fines, This story came out this morning, Two reasons (besides General Mills losing money) Cap and Trade and the city of Lodi has its own electrical utility, rates are out of this world and they want to raise them more. I think they looked and went, lets get ride of the most expensive plants and Lodi is it, there go another 430 jobs....

When the last business in Kalifornia closes down, it will become the liberal utopia they have been striving for, for decades. Only the obscenely rich and welfare recipients will live there.

The sad part is Commiefornia could care less if the volunteers got paid, they wanted the taxes and the worker's comp insurance.
They have no trouble shutting down a Kool-Aid stand so a winery would be a real feather in their cap.

So the only good thing that may come of this is that the volunteers and the owners of the winery that USED to be Communist useful idiots, ie vote for Commucrats, may have just had an awakening. But, then this is Kookafornia so maybe I am being optomistic.

Ah... people pay good money to actually do what these people did all over the world. The fact that this is free is seriously fantastic and the people that wanted to go beyond that and crush and harvest well good for them. So what is the problem? I mean I don't get it? Did a volunteer complained?
Doesn't our f***ing congress do the very SAME thing with unpaid interns? So does the legislature in Kalifornia. What a bunch of hypocrites...
