California judge strikes down tenure for public-school teachers as violating students’ right to quality education. “The plaintiffs argued that California’s current laws made it impossible to get rid of low-performing and incompetent teachers, who were disproportionately assigned to schools filled with poor students. The result, they insisted, amounted to a violation of students’ constitutional rights to an education.” So is the solution to get rid of bad teachers or simply make sure they’re distributed equally to all districts? Let’s see… teacher unions, Democrat politicians, campaign $$$$…. nope, we haven’t a clue.

On a big picture note- how in good conscience can any judge reference the Constitution when its nullification has been so consistently demonstrated? Perhaps this is just part of the act- meant to put us all back on our heels thinking that we're being heard when this is just a clever means of ignoring our concerns. As for the ruling itself, why stop at tenure when it is the power of public sector unions that imperil not only the quality of education but government efficiency and effectiveness in general- ensuring that the mal-educated and brainwashed graduates are saddled with issues they are ill-equipped to deal with?
Progressivism is a metastatic cancer that has infected a sick patient. It's pointless to fix one infected sector without dealing with the disease as a whole- which goes well beyond school systems and unionization to the legislative goons who have cultivated and nurtured its parasitic presence while the population has allowed itself to be conditioned into accepting that to fix a problem we need to keep throwing more and more money at it- in the face of that not working time after time.

As long as the libs, dems, statists, Marxists, whatever name you prefer, remain in control of the 'education' system I am not so sure that this 'strike down' will have any great affect.
I am sure by tonight the CTA, California Teachers Association, will be all over the TV news crying about the world coming to an end, and da little children's will all suffer because teachers will be forced to do their job instead of attending all those protests in Sacramento asking for more money....the CTA is the BIGGEST contributor to the libtards in Kalifornia, so I am sure the legislature will be working on a new law in 3....2......1......

Eric Heins, Vice President of the California Teachers Association, promised an appeal, as well.
The CTA also contends the Los Angeles and Bay Area students at the heart of the judge's decision were not the real impetus for the lawsuit. The lawsuit was brought by Students Matter, a group funded by businessman David Welch.
"This lawsuit came because of a Silicon Valley millionaire, a PR firm, and really had nothing to do with student achievement," Heins said. "It had everything to do with attacking teachers."

Don't worry or get your hopes up. There will be a higher court that is more sympathetic (i/e/ owned) to the donations of teachers unions to the democrat-fascist party and it will be overturned.

I used to practice law in CA before I escaped. . .er. . moved. Rolf Treu was a great attorney and he is a very well respected/highly regarded judicial officer.
Which makes it all the more saddening that he will be losing his job as soon as Holder can sign the paperwork.
