yeah minimum wage is SUPPOSED to be minimum money for MINIMUM jobs with minimum skills and education. It is not supposed to be maximum enough for you to live on WITH family to support. With the economy as it is I don't quite understand the largesse.
Why the hell aren't these morons protesting the fact that there aren't any decent JOBS in Bathhouse Barry's economy? Minimum wage was NEVER supposed to support a family...it was POCKET MONEY for teenagers getting into the job market, so they could learn what it takes to hold down a job, and then move up from there.
BB not only gets to skate on the jobs issue, he gets to blame business owners for the hell he's put people into on top of it. This is absolutely astounding to me....
Does minimum wage apply to illegals?
I'm sure the case can be made that they would be exempt from the law, since most of their employees are here illegally, and are receiving government benefits which should boost their income to the $15/hr range, without giving them a raise.

Of course the Unions applied for an Exemption from this, textiles will never be made again in CA.
"The garment industry is gradually shrinking and that trend will likely continue." Although trousers are coming down, skirts and dresses are up.
