It's like herpes, once you get the shit, it's impossible to get rid of it, and the cost of having it gets exponentially higher every year.
About the only thing that so called gift would give anybody is a bankruptcy.
Rush had an interesting prediction on his show on Friday (12/6). He predicted Obama would bribe Millennials to sign up for ObamaCare by forgiving their student loans.
Forgiving loans means a bunch of lenders are gonna be stuck with bad debts, something the Obama "recovery" does not need because it is a deflationary force (considering how many student loans there are, it may be the mother of all deflationary forces.) Also, it would severely impair the capital of god-knows-how-many banks, requiring a bigger and better TARP-type thingy to prevent them from becoming insolvent and taking the entire banking system with them. Considering how this all went down last time, it does not sound like this will be an easy thing to make happen.
I'm not saying it CAN'T happen, I'm saying I think it would be an unbelievably messy clusterfuck.
Obama is the economic genius that said the taxpayer loss of $10.5 billion dollars on GovMtr stock sale yesterday was and I quote "A bet that paid off."
If those college transcripts of King Barky the Incompetent ever come out they will demonstrate Obama has an IQ of 85.
Actually, I believe his IQ is higher. IQ is a measure of potential. Just because he has potential, doesn't mean he uses it.
Bonfire - don't forget the student loan program was taken over by the Feds back in July of 2010. Banks and other lenders are out of the picture now.

Interesting... I can say that is a very appealing bribe. However even this some people will find a way to circumvent. A lot of people may pretend to sign up or maybe do and then cancel once the loans are forgiving.
