CBO: Taxes Will ‘Shoot Up by More Than 30 Percent’ Over Next 2 Years. And that is just “taxes” in the classic sense. Let’s not forget about the proxy ones. Like skyrocketing energy costs. And the real earnings/savings killer . . . inflation.

Of course the Progressives have to raise taxes 30 percent, voters are getting expensive!
When I read the headline, my 1st thought was to slash the size of gov't by about half. It was not to raise taxes sky high.
I guess he is not sticking to his pledge of not raising taxes on those making $250,000 and under?
Oh, he's sticking to the not raising taxes on those earning $250000 and under, it's just that the decimal point, like everything else in his life, has moved to the left.
I think the only pledge he is standing by is the one where he said he would fundamentally change the country. He never stated in what way he was going to do it.
I don't believe its the Liberals... I believe it is the progressives in BOTH parties that we can thank for this mess. Too bad Ted Nugent isn't running this year...
You are right, and I stand corrected.
As Rush suggests, the Republican establishment is like a rival organized crime gang; they don't want to eradicate crime, they just want to be the ones profiting from the thievery.
It's been so long since I listened to Rush with any regularity, I didn't realize he had stopped being a shill for the Republicans. Last I listened, he would chastise Bush for something or other once in a while, but that was about it.
Thanks liberals, at least now I can stop wondering if I would ever be able to retire, and can now just plan on working myself to death.
"Arbeit Macht Frei"
And here I was thinking Die Wahrheit wird Sie befreien setzen.
God bless Obama and the Democrats. Without them we Americans might have surplus money to spend as we see fit rather than as the government knows is best for us. Without them our economy might grow too fast, too many houses might be built, too many gas guzzling cars bought and too many people might find jobs in the private economy.
BTW. Don't believe for a minute that any increase in taxes will go toward paying down the federal debt. Rather it'll go toward increased federal spending.

Little typo there?
Shouldn't that be increased ENTITLEMENT SPENDING?
