Like Scotsman said, this is an attempt to alleviate the overburdened criminal justice system in Kali. Just start legalizing stuff and crime rates drop. Weed, prostitution, illegal aliens. And per Co2, slippery slope indeed.

Actually, legalizing prostitution, taking it into a place of business, with drug tests, background checks, and health screenings, is the best way "to protect against violence, drug use and trafficking."
Legalized and regulated prostitution is also the best way to prevent "violence against women, sexually transmitted diseases and human trafficking."
Legalized prostitution for adults has nothing to do with legalized ANYTHING for children. In fact, it makes it easier to track down, and turns a lot of police officers and legal system resources to be used to fight actual crime.
This is California, home of the slippery-slope.
I challenge the claim that legalized and regulated prostitution is the best way to prevent "violence against women." I thought the studies all claimed that rape is a crime of violence, not sex. Legalized prostitution won't change that.
Agreed, and it means a lot more democrats won't be hanging out on street corners.
I'd much rather see the ladies on our local street corners inside a building, being drug and STD tested regularly, with a bouncer to keep them safe, rather than standing around on the corner. Even if they DO vote Democrat.
