When responsible people have weapons then can and do stop crime. Overall when you ban weapons you are making it easier for evil people to use them against innocents. There are even vast studies on this issue. Not even sure why these people are so stupid that they cannot get this simple situation.
Your right on the money, If you are a burglar (and I have talked to a few) they pick on certain types of people that don't own weapons..Whats really funny is one told me he looks for bumper stickers and political signs for democrats cause they don't like guns, he stayed away from republicans or people with NRA stickers because he knew he stood a good chance of getting shot and being DRT (Dead Right There)....amazing, even criminals know liberals are stupid.
It is amazing to me that a liberal assumes that a person from TX or any other red state is dangerous because he or she has weapons even if they are not criminals, but they bend over backwards to rehabilitate true blue criminals who wouldn't hesitate to victimize the same people that are treating them as if they did nothing wrong. It just doesn't make any sense!
Nothing a liberal does makes sense, perhaps you just hit on something. They make no sense because they have no purpose, they help no one, they are driven to crush anyone who gets in their way, money and power drive them and there is no room for compassion, caring or concern about the real problems, they make up problems (like global cooling/warming whatever) and then set themselves up as experts because they have never accomplished anything worthwhile in life and the human spirit is wanting and they have no clue how to actually get fulfillment out of life. They are just an empty shell...No purpose, no direction, no ability for independent thought and all must be lead by an idol..movie star politician, cult figure. They were never given the tools to be a decent human, and they lack even the basic ability to care for themselves without direction..Just like the people who followed Jim Jones over the cliff.
Any chance we can get another Jim Jones, with a MASSIVE liberal/Hollywood elite following?

Its my belief the anti-gun liberals are allowing, even encouraging gun ownership and gun rights on state levels with the goal of creating such a frenzy as to provide the excuse needed to consolidate gun laws under new federal gun laws doing away with "states rights".
Possibly even under U.N control. Hillary signed the UN small arms treaty with Obama's blessing, something no other president has ever agreed to do.

I was having a little argument with one of my liberal FB friends recently. Lovely young lady, but a little touched in the head, know what I mean?
I mentioned the facts, studies, statistics that show that crime overall, and violent crime in particular, skyrocket in places like Australia and England, when guns are taken from law abiding citizens. She replied that she was sure there were plenty of "statistics" to show either side of the argument. I told her if she knew of any statistics to show that people were safer after being disarmed, I'd love to see them. Argument over. Crickets.
There is no explaining or defending liberal ignorance and Im almost to the point of no longer tolerating it as well.

The only people that know how to use a gun properly are the po-po and the people that are assigned to protect the great public servants . On a side note , a couple of years back I was discussing the record cold with a braindead gorebot . Their response was a mimic of the stupidity that runs rampant in their circle ---" I'm kinda glad there is global warming . Just imagine how cold it would be , if we didn't have it ."

We have had hail here in San Diego three times in the last two weeks. THREE TIMES! SAN FREAKIN' DIEGO! This global warming thing is getting entirely out of hand!
Here's a story about liberals you'll love.....I go to a call for service years ago, Lady is a liberal, (Clinton bumper sticker on the car and a picture of him in the house) She heard an "intruder" in her house when she came home..We get there (my partner and I) and she meets us at the door, Out of the blue she says, "you can't go in my house with guns!!...I hate guns..Can't you just go in and throw a net over the bad guy?" I told her I don't go anywhere without my gun..She then started to babble about how guns are responsible for all the evils in the world etc etc...I handed her my pepper spray, and my flashlight, and said let me know when you find the bad guy..I'll be out here with my gun...She got all pissed and wanted to speak to my supervisor (I am a sergeant) and I told her I am my supervisor...She again started to bitch about guns and the cops in England don't have guns..
I told her that perhaps we should go and come back after whatever heinous crime had been committed and take a report. She finally relented, we searched, it was a raccoon.....we chased it out the back door just by following it...She had a cat door (she was a cat hoarder) and the door allowed the cats to go in and out and the raccoon figured it out and found a free meal....She then told me that she was going to talk to the chief of police about having all our guns taken away so we wouldn't shoot innocent people just for fun....I suggested she seek professional help since she appeared to be slightly nuts and she did not like that...Two days later her love interest of 30 years, shot and killed a known gang member inside their house when the guy found this lady being attacked by the gangster..She did not know her boyfriend had a gun....When I got there (first unit on scene) she wanted me to talk to her boyfriend about how dangerous guns are..The woman had just been attacked, saved by a gun, and she still wanted me to take the gun from her boyfriend because it might hurt someone...(Yea like the dead Crip in her bedroom)...About six months later I happened to be assisting another officer on a call and it happened to be the lady again... she was (here it comes) outside a sporting goods store-naked, screaming about them selling guns to kill people......she went to the nuthut and I have not seen her since, the boyfriend was never charged because he used the weapon properly...and I see him once in a while at various events, he said he has a new girlfriend who likes to shoot, and said he never had a problem with anyone over the shooting except the nut case.....No matter if they get their life saved, liberals think guns are bad, and I think the majority like this lady need long term mental health care.....

Thus the moral of the story, be able to protect yourself and your loved ones. Notsosilent as we both know, we get there after the fact. You handled the issues with her much better than I would have. I would have just called for the ambulance and filed a report for an emergency 72 hour holder as a danger to them self and others.
Sometimes all you can do is shake your head and walk away (laughing about it later) Interestingly enough, this woman's sister (same name, looks amazingly similar) called one day and wanted to have me arrest her neighbor for blowing leaves onto her property. She also wanted the "city forester" (we don't have one) to charge him with (her words) "Cutting my bush". They shared a common driveway with a bush down the middle she thought was here's and this neighbor trimmed it so it wouldn't scratch his car. She claimed it was "her bush", and he had injured it. I suggested she give it a hug (since there was no crime) and she complained to my sergeant..we both laughed it off. She was the tree hugging version of the gun hater..By the way..both of them were TEACHERS!
...so her neighbor trimmed her bush. Sounds like he knows her pretty well.
I can just imagine what was gong through your mind while she was complaining at you: "I think I'll peel out, siren and lights going full blast, so I can get back to the station ASAP for a full-bore mocking session. It's a win-win -- she thinks I took her seriously, and I can get in the maximum mockery allowed by law."
For a couple months the entire shift referred to her as "Ms. Bush" whenever she called in, and she did often, she complained about everything, noisy cars, a pickup on her street with a small oil leak, the neighbors fireplace smoke was killing her....I think she might have joined sis in the nuthut cause I haven't seen or heard of her for years..or maybe she joined some environmental wacko cult and is now a full time tree hugger.

I was doing an event once with one of my rocking horses, and was dressed in my ancient style kilt, sporran, and belt with another pouch and my knife. I love my knife, it is handmade damascus, in a beautiful leather sheath with silver trim. It is not only a tool, but also a part of my costume when I perform.
During a slow time in the booth, an old Korean man comes over, asks to see my knife. Sure, I love to show off. I held it out for him to see, but it was obvious he was afraid to touch it. He said, "That for kill peepo." I told him it was a tool. "No, it for kill peepo. It no good for anything but kill peepo." I told him I had used it for many things, but never for killing anyone. He still insisted it was a single purpose item. So I agreed. "Yes, it's a tool, and it does a job." I had already sheathed it, but I leaned towards him with a crazy look in my eye. "If the job that needs to be done is to kill someone, I guess it COULD be used for that." You should have seen him scurry off.
Just imagine if I had been carrying an old flintlock pistol.
LOL!!! a great story...Amazing what some peepo think about weapons, and your right, its just another tool. I have never shot anyone on or off duty, came close a couple times, One was an 80 year old man. GrandDaughter had been dating gangster, she broke it off, he threatened to kill her and her family, said he was on the way over, we get there and the old guy (who is half blind and didn't hear to well, hears us outside and fires his 410 shotgun in the air right on the other side of the fence from me. I came up over the fence pointing my handgun, and from there it went in to slow motion, I could see the hammer coming back and then realized he wasn't the gangster. He got one of the most royal ass chewings I have ever given anyone, Lots of colorful metaphors included...His wife took the gun and locked it away. The bad guy never did show. he got arrested by another officer on a car stop about 5 miles away. I have used pepper spray, a baton, and been in a few knock down drag out fights, but to this day I am thankful I have not shot anyone. However if it comes to it, the person who threatens me or another with a weapon will get the full measure of my tools.
Just imagine if you'd been carrying your shillelagh.
Just remember -- shillelaghs don't kill peepo. Peepo kill peepo. That, and unicorn horns. They can kill peepo. (one of the best weapons in nethack to hit and damage-wise, as a matter of fact...)

Hey flashy, another Hielander here, hate to disagree, but I play the pipes (just came off a double-header weekend, parades on Sat and Sun), and although I've used my sgian dhu on occasion to cut up meat pies, trim reeds, or a hundred and one other handy-dandy uses, I think it's hard to argue around the fact the sgian dhu =is= very specifically a knife designed to kill people, at least the fulthy, nae-guid sheep-shagging cattle thieves o' the next clan over the river. It is the original concealed weapon - carried down the sock. The triangular tip is designed to slip through rib cage, the wide flat top is to open body cavity, and the groovings are a blood channel to ensure quick draining.
I don't think anyone has asked me that question so specifically (and I've been in the kilt 35 years, the noo), but my response would be a very quick and positive, "Aye, ye're dom righ' i' is!"
Yes, it's a tool, with a specific purpose. It can do other jobs, but if you want to whittle a stick or clean out a touch-hole, get one of those wee Swiss Army knives. They are designed to do many more jobs.
Well, at first, I was trying to be nice, and not scare the little guy. But when he kept pushing it, I decided it was time to make him run crying. I got a good laugh out of it.
First I try to educate. Then, if that's not possible, I have fun.
Yeah, I love a good knife, and they *are* a tool. Like my Randall Knife. It for kill peepo. No apologies. If peepo want to kill me, I want to make sure they know that it won't be a simple human sacrifice like the libs want. There *will* be pieces of peepo on the floor of varying sizes, descriptions and function.
However, I also use it for other things, so it is not a single use, ceremonial object. Like: Cutting bait. Butchering animals. Slicing fruit. Scaring foolish peepo.
I disagree with any assumption that liberals have altruistic motives in gun control legislation, CO2. It is manufactured crises like the one cited - resulting from their politics - they are relying on to provide the intellectual foundation for abolishing the second amendment.
They want the same result over and over and over until the public finally cries out for ALL guns to banned for ALL time except for police and the military.
Even though the historical data of the effect of gun bans and gun free zones versus the loosening of gun control laws proves that the Liberal Left is completely wrong they will never stop in their efforts to prove that 1+1=POTATO with gun restrictions.
