By increasing goods imports from the U.S. by a combined value of more than $1 trillion over that period, China would seek to reduce its trade surplus — which last year stood at $323 billion — to zero by 2024, one of the people said. China has given every indication they are on the verge of an imperialistic break out. They also realize they're screwed in making their ambitions happen as long as a large percentage of their economy depends on imports coming from the west.
Having traveled in a great deal of China, the average Chinese works their ass off. The hustle and are all about making the Yen or Dollar.
