Corners...China your doing it wrong.
It's easier when you're using your GPS to get around the track. "Turn right in 20 feet" is a clearer direction than "Curve to the right around the nearest bend."
You must not be a runner. Or a NASCAR fan. You turn left.
1.) I was forced to run in jr. high P.E., but I've had those years intentionally removed from my memory.
2.) I NEVER GO LEFT!
I know how you feel. In eleventh grade, after spending a year unwilling to run or jump on doctor's orders, I foolishly went out for cross country hoping to get in shape for basketball. My first practice, I ran 2 and a half miles around this big city park with everybody else, fell to the ground at the coach's feet gasping for breath and puking all over the place, then stood up fairly proud of myself for having made it all the way. That's when they told me the 2 1/2-mile run wasn't the practice. That was just the WARMUP for the practice. I lasted two days before quitting in humiliation.
I hate running. I have flat feet and heel spurs, so it gets painful. I have problems with my back also. Give me a pool and I'll be happy.
I too hate running. The only thing that can make me run is a jealous husband with a pistol.
HEY, she wasn't wearing a ring.
I used to go running quite a bit. But it might have just been my way of proving to myself that I could do what the doctors said was impossible. I ran for exercise right up to the point that I tore ligament in my right knee. Up until that point, my right knee had always been the bad one, having had surgery on it twice.
When these Chinese bureaucrats build a pool, they'll probably paint curved lines on the bottom forcing all the swimmers to finish in the same corner. "Easier to time them if they all finish in the same place," they'll explain.
I hope we get to see some videos of the games.
Yea, those sharp left turns are going to be comical!
What other direction could a commie turn?
The article didn't say that Obama is so impressed with whomever designed this, he want him for a high level post in his cabinet. The designer will fit right in.
"Stadium officials had another explanation. They claimed their original track had once featured curves but said its rubber surface had become severely worn down from overuse"
The best way to discourage use would be to not build a track in the first place. The money saved could be used to support budding Socialist states like that headed by Chairman Maobama.
Official smiled.
"... u mad, com? U mad?"
The problem was, they couldn't figure the arc of the turns on their abacus!
That piece of string would have been outside the budget.
I have seen plenty of things, this is a first.
Typical Progressive planning - long on theory, short on performance.
This is called "The Easy To Turn Track." Well if it was named by the fascist democrat party it would be.
