Whiteness, what its "whiteness"? How does it differ from "blackness". Chris can you help us here? Is "whiteness" a color, an attitude, a privlege, a way of life or a handicap? How does "whiteness" manifest itself in Barack Obama and why are we ignoring it?
It's Obama's REDness inside that concerns me, not whatever color his skin is.
I don't want Barry "The Destroyer" Obama out of office because he is black or white but because he is an inept arrogant inexperienced racist that thinks communism can work.
Does Rock’s statement make him a racist? I’ve seen and heard his stand-ups, he use the banned word for white people all the time and gets laughs for it. He calls whites “crackers” and get laughs for it. He has called Chinese people “chinks” and laughs for it. Yet no one in the MSM will suggest he is a racist. Now he is talking about the presidents’ bi-racial heritage and is getting a pass for it. I wonder why.
Please Chris just teach me how to ignore all of the shitbird.

BTW, just as an aside, I would like to see bloggers start referring to Cry Baby Chrissy by his middle name, from now on. Julius. That's a gift that keeps on giving, bet he'd REALLY try to deck a camera man if he was called that in an attempted interview.

I think Chris Rock uses racism in a funny accepting way. Like Archie bunker (was that his name?), instead of just acting like it doesn't exist, he does it in a mocking non aggressive way.
Of course maybe I just think that because his jokes don't really apply to me, one way or another.
He doesn't seem to pretend to be smart either, he laughs at himself.
Maybe some of his more recent stuff has gone off on the wrong foot. I don't really follow him that much. (for obvious reasons) However what I've seen of him on HBO and youtube has always been pretty funny. You can't always make -everyone- happy, no matter what you do. Accepting that and making dumb jokes seems to be his way of doing things. I can think of far worse comedians.
You are entitled to your opinion about Julius. But when he tries to deck a cameraman, in my view it makes him an asshole and his humor is suddenly not so funny.
Not to go all nit-picky, but wasn't that a camera WOMAN type person? Makes it worse in my book anyway.
I didn't see that one, but I don't really follow him.
If that's the case I guess I'd have to agree with you that it would spoil most of the humor.
Of course we aren't in his head, nor do we know exactly how bad his day was either.
In general though, I just don't care for mean spirited people.
Hate only breeds more hate as they say. Maybe he joked about race one too many times and it just got into his head.

Chris Rock USED TO BE something. Now, not so much.
I am going to admit that the documentary he made about "Black" hair was actually quite good and honest. It made me realize that I was on the right track in keeping things real.
I thought it was clever. I think it points more towards saying that Obama hides, and we forget, the fact he's half white. Since he exploits his blackness, like it's a crutch to get himself a wheelchair ramp installed for free. Rather than experience in a culture he can better understand and work with, because he's part of it.
I used to think Chris Rock was funny but he's become annoying. His meltdown when someone other than a liberal, Jason Mattera, asked him a question showed why he only goes into sympathetic environments.
