The Joyeuse Union Don Bosco [Joyous Union Don Bosco] takes place in Nîmes, at the Sanctuary of Our Lady the Virgin of Santa Cruz, built by French people repatriated from the Algerian city of Oran following Algerian independence. These people were driven out of the place they grew up in by Muslim aggression. Now they face it in France too!

  • Yet again another fine example of the religion or peace, it is time that every person realize what islam is truly about. That is world domination and the utter destruction of Israel.

    • Nothing new happening here, Islam has been attacking everything that is not Islamic since the mid 6th century. Nothing changed, & nothing will change. Hell, out of the 3 major religions, only 1 was founded by a warrior. Guess which 1 that is boys & girls...

          • Aren't they the central figures in a debate about cannibalism wiping out the last of the tribe? I don't recall if it was their own tribe or if they are supposed to have eaten another tribe to extinction. I have nothing further about this story, just a partial recollection from something I must have read about in the past.

          • They haven't found any bones or much of anything to support that or to answer where they went. Its like one day they were there, and nearly the next they were gone. That's why they are so mysterious. Beautifully worked hmes in the cliffs however. That much we do have.

          • Their apparent rapid disappearance is not dissimilar to that of the Maya. Again, I don't know enough pertinent detail and am not speculating, I wonder if these occurrences were near the same time? My guess says we can't really be sure. If they were that would be some kinda coincidence! I'm not alert enough to go internet investigating. I think they were not within the same half century, but don't know.

          • The Mayans apparently disappeared around 900 AD
            and the Anastazi disappeared around 1250-1300 AD.

            As for where they went, some have posited, for the Mayans at least, that they were Lemurians, moving on or going home.

          • There is an archeology=reported period of a 300 year drought about that time, that they feel may be responsible both for the abandoning of cities, and the destruction of religious sites such as those in Chaco Canyon. Like maybe they were trying to undo something awful they had done, to go back to the time before the drought. Lots of stroies, lots of speculation, and a tinge of truth to many-makes it hard to just write them off, no matter how fantastic they may initially sound. If nothing else, all these beliefs/myths/legends refer to the idea that the inhabitants became arrogant and greedy, thus causing the civilization's downfall. A pretty good lesson for us all to consider.

          • Well! You just made me a liar, but that's ok. I do know that many tribal groups across the world ate enemies captured in battle, an attempt to somehow gain their power. The current Pueblo peoples, incuding the hopi claim the Anasazi as their ancestors. Even the name anasazi was given to the peoples by the rancher who discovered the Mesa Verde site. In Navaho, it means ancient enemy, but others say it thranslates to ancient ancestors.

          • Well, there is something on that now. Thanks Robert! I believe the information has been argued to be false by some people. You know, probably the same type that insist the Native Americans were all peace-love-dove until the honky cracker dogs - or is that cracker dog honkies? - showed up and learnt em all to hate, rape and kill everybody by giving them whiskey. Damn pushers. In any event, things were certainly different a thousand years ago, weren't they?

          • Now you are in my part of the world ma'am. The Anasazi were a proud, peaceful people who just wanted to live their lives. They were forced to build the cliff houses, which can be visited today, when war-like tribes from the north, which evolved into what we call the Navajo today, forced them off their land.

            There are few historical facts known about their disappearance but Native folklore has many references to the "people who came before". Legend has it that the Anasazi went through a hole in the ground, a gate or portal called a "sipapu", into another world. Thousands of years later we do know that the Hopi tribe of Native Americans base all their religeous ceremonies around a "sipapu", a hole in the ground. They believe they came from another dimention, a parellel earth, through a gate or portal. Any relation? We will never know.

            Sorry about the history lesson, I get carried away sometimes. The Anazazi were a proud people who built wonderful houses in the cliffs. They cannot be compared to those camel humping, goat eating, woman abusing sheet heads, that dig a hole in the side of a hill to hide in.

    Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote:

      Unfortunately the Julia Gillard quote was a hoax. She would never say a thing like that. She was born and bred in Wales by a Left wing family. They moved to Australia when she was eight. She sounds as though she practised the local dialect so that now she sounds ten times more Australian than Australians - presuamably to get herself elected.

    • If an American politician were to make a statement similar to Gillard's the media, entertainment, education, and political establishments would portray him as hateful and intolerant. They would probably find too much success with too many American couch zombies. Someone needs to bring this thread up about Muslims attacking Christians in France if Olivia ever comes back.
