Yesterday or day before, Yahoo. posted a story that this was being corrected. Apparently the NY Times did a story on it and within 48 hours, they were out there removing it!
Mayor Nanny probably got after them.

There is a reason why they have been circulating those scrambled-letter "brain" tests on the internet...they're hoping you will think stupid mistakes like this is OK.
And progressives wonder why they get laughed at.
This "Johnny can't have poor self esteem" approach to education just isn't working. One politically incorrect nun with a thick ruler in her hand could have prevented the imbecile from painting that with the wrong spelling. A few hard whacks here and there will always make you learn to check your work before turning it in.

I work Maint. & Ops. for a County here in Kalif. and some of our employees are more enterprising than this story. A couple of guys in another Dept. were selling their services on the side to homeowners who needed their houses connected to water or sewer mains (can't remember which one) for $1500 a pop. They used an 8 yard dump truck, trailer w/580 Case backhoe, and whatever materials needed to complete the hook-ups--all County equipment. The spokesmouth for that Dept. spun every question by the local media and never told us what punishment would be handed out. "The 2 employees in question are on paid admin. leave pending the investigation". Of course the Union got involved to try and save their jobs. Never heard what the outcome was.
I have seen more than my fair share of employees from various city departments "running" their own business on company time, One guy was selling car parts on E-bay and they didn't catch him doing that, what got him fired was faking overtime cards..When I went in to look at his computer during the investigation, it was like working at a used auto parts store, there were demand letters for payment from some guys who owed him money. Then of course the internet porn sites that he backdoored thru his home web sit.
We had a janitor that was taking floor polishers, and other supplies and after he cleaned the police department, he went out and did private businesses with our stuff. The beauty was what got him caught, a magnetic sign on the side of his van advertising his services when he had a van load of stuff with the city's name all over them plainly visible from the windows.
And union lawyers went to bat for both of them saying it was just a misunderstanding?!?!?!?!

Then I just remembered the city crew where I worked painted the following at a stop sign...SOTP AHAED....Which in English I think means STOP AHEAD....
