I'll put on my Obama Regime propaganda hat and say that CNN has increased its quality of viewer by 67%.
Spin - the practice of presenting news or information in a way that creates a favorable impression.
These progressive political news channels spin a lot, just like your example. Like a spinning top hitting a wall, when the truth gets in the way of their spin, they bounce off and wobble. Some of the zombies wake up, but you'll always have the hardcore progressive left that drives the spin machine.
The real problem is the alphabet news and liberal entertainment like Jon Stewart, SNL, and other political string pullers for the left. That's where the low information voters, which is becoming the majority, get their direction to vote and who to vote for.
I pray that the zombies are waking up.

I don't think they really HAVE a target audience anymore. When HLN stopped being 24/7 news and started airing Joyless Behar and Nancy Grace, they lost a lot of credibility.
Strina, they do have a target audience, airport lounges. CNN is the happy middle to those travelers who watch FNC or MSNBC, & CNN still means something internationally.
The channel is also on in the VA clinic waiting area by the lab.
It gets plenty of hisses, but the staff controls the remote.
