Coal heats up as campaign issue for Obama as clean-air rules hit swing states.   • I'm just not cynical enough. Whenever I think that Democrats can't get any dumber they surprise me. I know!!! Let's shut off 12 percent of America's electrical generating capacity and see what happens.

  • I'm reading the story, and I agree that this is one of the many nails in what we hope is the Obama Administration's coffin. But take Pennsylvania, one of the instances they are talking about as a swing state that is heavily powered by coal. If you were thinking straight, like we do, you'd think that a state like that would vote against Obama.

    But picture it this way. Pennsylvania's welfare rolls are probably a little higher than the national average, and I'm talking about the generational recipients, not just the people being put out of work by the new regulations. Now, does the average welfare recipient care if his or her power bill goes up? Of course not, it's being paid by the welfare state anyway. Does this lifetime recipient care if more miners, truckers, powerplant workers, railroad workers, are put out of work? Why would they?

    No, they'll still vote for their free stuff, and that's a vote for Obama.

  • I just long for the day that I wake up to see dear leaders face in the obituary column, may he rest somewhere else. Please I am so tired of hearing about him, it's never anything good.
