Nowdays you can buy any results you like...Just ask the climate mongrels.....Pay enough, and the science magically appears to support your cause...I guess ethics are science are not even taught at the same schools...
I think a lot of “scientific results” are slanted to gain more grants. Global warming comes to mind.

The joke was that PhD meant "Piled high & Deep". While I guess it still refers to the dimensions of the pile of BS, it also seems to apply to the stack of money it takes to get the answer you want.
