I hate the feet on the furniture bit it is so gauche. As for his other tidbits of rudeness, he was obviously raised by a classless group of people and he himself is an arrogant jerk. No surprise.
OMG! Is he seriously going to drag the PM to a college basketball game?
The only thing more boring than that would be making him listen to a tape of his speeches while watching the game!
Or obama singing 'You Light Up My life' to him.
I can't imagine a bunch of full grown men throwing a ball around being exciting. I'd rather watch paint dry.
Obama lucked out - it turned out to be an exciting game. But still... would the British PM have any idea what he was watching? Aren't the British Isles pretty much a basketball-free zone? And this was only a feeder game to qualify for the 64-team tournament. Not exactly bigtime sports.
It was simply a strange decision by Obama.
Actually, basketball is fairly popular in Europe. They have leagues that are almost able to compete with the NBA. There was a guy that I went to school with that went to Europe after college to play there. I believe he played in either Italy or Ireland.
I just checked, he played for Ireland.
Obamie IS strange and therefore everything he does is strange. He wanted to see the game and he wasn't going to let no head of state from some other country get in the way so he lumped it all together. "It is all about me" all up in Obama's nogging.

My favorite is when he gave the Queen of England an Ipod with his version of Mein Kampf on it. The bozo has all the manners of a spoiled brat throwing a temper tantrum.
