Don't get too excited. I am pretty sure when this goes to court, there is going to be an issue aboiut ConEd raising the rent retrospectively. They have to give notice of rent changes, and telling someone several months after the fact does not denote notice. Thye may have to pay the increased rent going forward, but they won't get evicted. And remember, they already OWN most of the property. This is one small part only.

Good for Con Ed at least someone in NYC has the stones to make them pay for their services. As for the weasel Bloomberg, he will try to pressure Con Ed into doing some type of deal for the mosque and the developers. If Bloomberg wants he could take some of his money and pay the damn bill fro them.
That way he can show how understanding he is with his own check book.
