I have a bunch of CFL's, and I think it's time to break them all on the sidewalk in front of the democratic party office near here...The mercury contamination should keep the office closed well past the election (or should I saw firing of Obumbles) next year...

Actually, they did NOT overturn the lightbulb ban, although they are hoping gullible Americans believe they did. All that happened was that funding for enforcing the ban was revoked. The incadescent lightbulbs we all know and love are still against the law. Welcome to the real world where our RINO House is indestinguishable from our Democrat Senate.
Right. A nine month reprieve until the new fiscal year kicks in. Maybe they will refuse to fund in FY 2013, we shall see.
I wonder if I can get my money back for that "Break-Your-CFL-Bulb-Call-911" hazmat suit purchased back in 2007.
No need. It'll come in handy for repairing your government-mandated Chevy Volt.
Not only was the ban 1984-ish in nature, those "green" lightbulbs were little environmental disasters in pretty, spiral packages.
If someone here wasn't clever enough to figure something like that out, I'd bet we'd be importing "Heat Balls" next year - at roughly three times the price we pay now.
