...that's because liberalism always generates the exact opposite of it's stated intent.
Being from NJ, I have spent a fair amount of time in CT. There are only 2 areas IMHO worth going to anymore, Mystic Seaport, for the touristy thing, great food and a very relaxed atmosphere, and the area along I-84 west of Hartford (I HATE Hartford!) to the state line. It's pretty open and quiet there, nice scenery.
The worst parts of the state are the cities, where there used to be industry, but now have become a dumping ground for welfare cases and low lifes.
Hartford aside, Stamford may well be Detroit east.
dont even need the liberals - the unions have voting in several key areas locked up tighter than a frog's rear. we were well on our way to a real governor in 2010 and our secy of state who shorted a major city on ballots wound up finding bags of votes that threw the governor's election over to malloy for under 3000 votes.
you heard a little bit about a ballot shortage on the news and then all of a sudden, ALL of the CT "news" stations stfu about it.
just like they stfu about there being no AR-15 in sandy hook.
CT is GONE, fellas. Captured. Will not be returned.
The rest of the country is going that way - I'll move to NM or TX once they are their own country, its not worth it getting out of this taxhole right now while we're still under our crop of lawless federal government.

I'm from Simsbury and have zero intention of ever moving back.
I have been to Connecticut several times over the years and really enjoyed myself. Good people, pretty country, cold beer, you can't ask for better. But, they have the same problem everyone has. The liberals living in the cities now outnumber the good, down to earth folks and have screwed up their state.
Ya'll come to New Mexico and be sure to bring your Bibles and guns. We are kind of partial to both around here.
