Court curbs Homeland Security’s laptop border searches. While this is a small victory for the Fourth Amendment, the dissent is frankly scary as hell.
Led by Judge Consuelo Callahan, some judges dissented, saying that the government should “be mostly free from the Fourth Amendment” and that the majority opinion creates an unworkable rule.
Government should be mostly free from the Fourth Amendment? Did these boobs actually go to a real law school? Or did they get their diplomas via mail order? Who appointed Consuelo Callahan? Believe it or not, George W. Bush appointed her, that’s who. This is one time blaming Bush is real.

Judge Callahan would be a worthy successor to Eric Holder as AG, if he ever steps down as the nation's chief law break..., um, law enforcement officer.
