Seeing the stats this morning there are only 8 CCW permit holders in D.C....so she is talking to a real small audience...

Remembered when the media was ready to lynch Ben Carson for suggesting that this was the proper course of action after the College Shooting in Oregon?
D.C. has one of the worst murder rates in the country, the criminals have all kinds of weapons. If the top cop would put out a memo telling the crooks no questions will be asked if they pop a terrorist the city will have no problem.
Except the crooks have no training, and won't watch their background.
They WOULD get seriously pissed if they were told the "refugees" were going to get half of their baby mama's EBT card.
Then the chief needs to issue the permits for everyone in DC to have a weapon instead of trying to disarm everyone.
As for being ready and properly trained, you damn right. That way you can protect yourself, your loved ones and those around you. When the FBI counter terrorism director comes out and makes the statement they made. It tells you what everyone that they damn sure better arm themselves. Crimes happen in seconds and we normally get there in minutes. By that time we are cleaning up a mess and investigating what has happened. Keep in mind France has some of the structs gun laws in Europe and they did nothing but get 129 people killed.
Citizens will have to break the law or to break policies in order to be ready for any possible attacks. So in a way law abiding citizens have to become "criminals" or policy breakers in order to be prepared and (as) safe (as possible). I find that incredibly bizarre, but that is how it needs to be.

Those "refugee's" in Paris were systematically executing people, first the handicapped according to one report. The only thing that stops them is lead poisoning. We can not walk around afraid all the time. If you carry a gun, just be aware of what is around you, and always (like I teach in firearms classes) be aware of what is behind/beyond your target, don't be afraid to use cover and concealment to your advantage, and practice, practice, practice.
I worked part time as a bouncer for a few years. It really teaches you to be aware of your surroundings. I also keep an unusual number of serious edged weapons in my truck and on me at all times. I'm pretty good at handling them too. Besides, they're quiet and don't attract too much attention.
I went to a bar fight one night at some place in north Stockton years ago. Just as I got there the bouncer tossed out some little guy (think leprechaun-It was an Irish themed bar) who bounced twice before landing in the parking lot. The story was he was trolling in the bar and would run up behind tall women and hide under their skirt.
The bouncer said it was the easiest "toss-out" he ever made. After I handcuffed the little guy, I put him in the car and when we got to the jail, he wanted to fight the deputies, who were all over 6 foot. He got the restraint chair and a room for one (padded) for a while.
The smaller the guy, the bigger he wants to look, so he tries to fight all the giants. Not too smart, but they all seem to be Napoleon's descendants.
he's right---the director of FBI counter terrorism tells us not to rely on the authorities to protect us and urges everyone to arm themselves--he didn't have to tell me!
