Gee, what was I thinking? All those drug lords with their piles of cash are only keeping it for decoration! Money has no place in the drug trade!
These D.E.A. clowns need to take some lessons from Rudy Gulliani on how to bust up mobs and gangs. Confiscate their dope, their money, their guns.
Harassment, arrest all the street level dealers so many times they get tired of it and start talking.
Light the candle at both ends and keep it burning until someone opens their mouth to save their sorry ass then light another one and keep going. the way to get to the top is to cut the roots out from under them. If nobody is willing to peddle their dope, they can't sell it and that is the only way to get the attention of someone living in another country.
Once again the most intelligent man in the room shows his true ignorance. Money is the fuel of the Cartels. Without the money there are no guns, ammo, cars, planes and what ever else they purchase to continue their influence.
As in all criminal enterprises, flow the money. It will lead you to the top and who is calling the strings.

DEA's budget is $2.5B, but at least the SoCons can sleep tight at night knowing their neighbors aren't in the bedroom smoking a joint.
Except in my neighborhood, they are. We had a shooting about a week ago 2 doors down. Suspected drug deal gone bad, on killed, another critically injured. They found the AK 47 in our laundry room.
I'm anti-abortion; I'm anti-gay marriage; I'm anti-illegal immigration; I'm anti-tax; I'm anti-health care nationalization; anti-entitlements, etc. Al, I'm about as far right a SoCon can possibly be on any issue; however, I'm with you 100% on this one. The DEA is a waste!
I guess there's a Libertarian bone or two in my body. My neighbors should feel free to smoke 'em if they've got 'em, far as as I'm concerned.
Not only that, but I'm betting that the DEA is probably just about as competent at keeping this operation under control as they were with the gunrunning operation. Turn the DEA into a tax-collecting agency, rather than a tax-consuming agency. Let anyone that wants to do drugs go ahead and do it. But also make sure that anyone that wants a job takes a drug test and passes it. And anyone that DOESN'T want a job gets no subsidies.
Hopefully, the small businesses along the border are still benefiting by selling these drug cartels all their illegal firearms!
Except they don't generally buy their weapons. They steal them. That is why increasing gun regulation will never affect the number of guns on the streets, whether in Mexico or the U.S.
And how is this different from the SEIU funneling money back to the DNC?
