Debbie does Meet the Press

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • I see Debbie's eating the shrooms again. When do they plan to do that second lobotomy on her?

  • “It would take 45 years to produce out of oil shale from the Keystone Pipeline as much oil as we save in the increase in fuel efficiency standards from President Obama’s policy that would be implemented by the middle of the next decade.”

It would take 15 minutes to meet those oil savings if she would just quit greasing her head!

    • Actually, for the last 30 years the left has been opposing drilling for our own oil. They always say sh!t like, "it won't really haep us for at least 10 years", & I just laugh. Then I have to control my temper. If these dumb bastards would have gotten out of the way 30 years ago, that oil would have been online for 20 years now. Instead we are all still fighting over drilling. The only drilling we are seeing is on PRIVATE LAND, not gov't land. Those who oppose drilling in America are enemies of the state, & should be viewed as such. Both publically & politically.

  • More mindless drivel from the most delusional sperm burper to ever show her felon related face on television. Meanwhile her lord and master "Dear Leader" has once again screwed everybody by coughing up billions for cars that burn up, or turn to "Bricks" when the batteries go dead.

  • I've been hearing this bull shit since Carter was in the WH. If steps and measures had been taken back then, the USA would be self sufficient. Yet again out comes the old tired worn out talking points from the deem wits.

When gas hits 6.00 and up, then what will be their talking points? I can hear her whining voice saying "it's all Bush and Cheney’s faults, or it’s the oil companies, or its Wall Street” Yea that is right it’s all of their faults. It sure as hell not the deem wits fault or their screw ball policies.

Any body else noticing the so called economic experts are beginning to back stroke away from the proclamation of a so called recovery?

  • When dws talks this is what I hear: "I'm a fu*king moron, a retard, a dummy, a knucklehead, and everything I say is embarrassing to me, my family, my party, and the united states of america....the fact that you people listen to me just goes to show that america is totally lost forever-and the moron electorate who continue to elect dolts and moral reprobates like me, obama, reid, pelosi, et al, is comforting to or enemies, specifically the chinese, russians, and muslims. I am a disgrace to my country"

    • "everything I say is embarrassing to me, my family,"

Yeah, I can just see her parents, sitting in their federal prison cells, shaking their heads in embarassment over their child. "Oh, where did we go wrong with her?"

  • I agree that it's probably not a realistic goal; DWS and the Dems are just using the meme of "anticipated" fuel economy gains as an excuse to placate the masses over Obama's rejection of the pipeline. I personally have nothing against increasing fuel economy; I'm a cheapskate and like to get as much as possible out of a gallon of gas. And technology is always making breakthroughs in this area. But if our goal is to reduce dependence on unfriendly oil sources, a goal that I am in favor of, buying oil from Canada would be a big help as well as developing US shale sources, all things the Dems oppose.

    • It's amazing how technology advances seem to occur when you spend more on the technology! In this case, between turbo charging, direct fuel injection, variable valve timings, etc. etc. etc. - you'ved added $$$s to the cost of an engine.

Now - you can continue to do this ... or you can sped it on gas. It's your call - however, as prices of cars go up, you end up imposing a regressive tax on the lowest wage earners.

  • Is a Debbie really a dumbass or does she just play one on TV?

And why not raise the gas mileage standards to eleventy hundred jillion million?
