“(I)t’s become an issue in certain cases where the informant pushes some of the information, and the court and the government and the defense attorneys have to be leery of that,” Springstead told reporters. “Because their job is not to assess what the government informant wants them to do, it’s to assess the accused’s intent and what they actually planned on doing.”

You wonder why people are frustrated with Governor Whitless? My sister is sick with COVID and can't get hydroxychloroquine because our dumbass governor has threatened the licenses of doctors who prescribe it without documentation of its effectiveness, effectively scaring them all away. This way she can claim she hasn't banned the drug, while at the same time preventing Michigan residents from actually getting any of it. My sister is in her 70s and has no co-morbidities so I'm not too worried, but she is actually sick, not one of those people who just tested positive. The evidence in favor of hydroxychloroquine is overwhelming and it pisses me off that the governor thinks she has the right to limit my sister's medical options.
I told my sister her doctor needs to man up and stop worrying about what the state will do... this was before I knew it was a female doctor.
How far is she from the nearest friendly state? Is it an option to head elsewhere for treatment?
No, it would be a long trip and who feels like a long trip when they're sick? Meanwhile, her husband tested negative. How is that even possible?
Because the covid tests can't differentiate between it and other similar viruses. She may not even have it. Could be something else.

Considering all the crap the FBI pulled on Trump, I wouldn't be surprised to find out all these guys were undercover agents!
What I thought. The FBI seems to do this quite often, find a little group of nutcases and then send in an undercover "informant" to egg them on and incite them to do something they can arrest them for. It's great public relations for the FBI and hopefully makes the American public forget all their failures and sleazy political acts of near-treason.
You will notice these guys never did do anything illegal until the informant talked them into showing up for a meeting to buy explosives. I've seen that dozens of times from the FBI too. It's their go-to move, because attempting to buy illegal explosives is a crime, allowing the FBI to make arrests. "Hey, I know a guy who will sell us some explosives!" the informant says. But why would they want explosives? It doesn't fit. What exactly were these guys going to do with explosives? Explosives don't help you kidnap a governor!
These guys were so mixed up you can't even tell whether they were on the left or right of the political spectrum. They were just a bunch of malcontented talkers who, I suspect, would never ever have reached a point of acting on their talk without that FBI guy egging them on.
They sound like a bunch of drunks talking shit to me.
Especially that "take her out to the middle of Lake Michigan and leave her" crap. It's not all that easy to get to the middle to Lake Michigan. It's a big lake and it's a long way to the middle and there's generally enough wind this time of year to make it pretty rough out there and you better have a good-sized boat and know what you're doing. It's talk like that that probably sent the Wisconsin guy home thinking they were a bunch of morons.
