Dem AGs mounting Big Tobacco-style probe of oil companies, industry fights back. Exxon, Citgo, Chevron-Texaco, et al must not have bribed donated enough to the Democrats this year.

  • I'm surprised they're even going after Citgo, they're the Venezuelan run company that took over all the foreign investment and infrastructure in the country. Being a Commie run company, they should be holding them up as something to emulate.

  • If they really believed this horseshit, they wouldn't be so cool with China & India each building a new coal plant EVERY DAY for the next 20 years. That story ran right here a week or so ago.

  • These Democrat AGs have all been to the Al Sharpton school of extortion. If they can't lie their way to carbon exchanges, then they'll come up with some flimsy charges and sue their way.

  • Legal bullies...Proves Shakespeare was right from day one....The only good lawyer, is one that has expired quietly in a porta potty...

  • Well, the Democrats have GlobalWarmingClimateChange® in their arsenal so maybe evil Big Oil should pony up with a few billion... they can afford the protection that the mafia.... err... Democrats want.

  • Sounds like a simply political shakedown to me. "Give us millions of dollars and we will go away." Meanwhile, the oil companies merely pass the cost of bribing government crooks back to the consumer...as always.
