Democrats would say that an increase in the minimum wage is an improvement and disregard chaos it would cause among low skilled workers. Or Democrats would say that the so-called War on Poverty was good despite the fact that just as many people remain in poverty despite trillions of dollars being spent.

It's a two-fer.....
I really loathe Democrats. I think I have Democrat Derangement Syndrome. Democrats are vile. They really believe that their policies will improve things and conveniently ignore the last 50 years of damage they have done starting with LBJ's Great Society bilge.
Republicans are not much better. They never ever truly reverse anything Democraps have done. They just tweak it a little here and there.
Meanwhile the USA is being burned to the ground.
Define "improve" and how would these illustrious Democrats define the concept? I agree with your assertion that they are vile but would respectfully differ with the premise that their intentions are as stated. They adopt causes not for the sake of advocacy but for the sake of injury. Once they achieve the maximum political mileage from a celebrated cause they dispose of those they supposedly championed with the same contempt they openly project on their political foes.
Democrats are contemptible swine- and so are those who cloak themselves with the guise of Republican for the sake of creating an illusion that we are not operating within a one party system... essentially disguising the fact that our political system and resulting government it churns out is operating as a weapon against us.... enlisting us as participants on election day in order that we may choose which personalities will demagogue us and fritter our freedoms away.
