• Tammy Duckworth was born in Thailand. Under the constitution and the succession amendment, if she is not allowed to be president as a foreign born national, does this mean that Nancy Pelosi will become president as third in line to succession?

• Yep, the "kinder, gentler" Left is on full display with all their "humanitarianism". I remember when my wife had foot surgery, and I carried her two blocks so she could see our small-town parade. The demotards in my own home town, people that had known me for years, wouldn't even move out of the way when I was carrying her. I had to leave the sidewalk and carry her up a busy street. Apparently, that's what kind of "nice" people they are.

  • They're nice, it's just that they were afraid you might "steal" their spot, and they wouldn't have as good a spot to watch the parade. You know how the people that "care about everyone" are when it might interfere with their lives.

• Actually, most of the gov't business can & should be done from their districts & not in Washington. Too many get disconnected from who they are supposed to represent, & some really don't live in their district.

• When I was young and stupid; I was a democrat. However, after I joined the military and became an intelligence analyst I began to see where the, by and large, democratic party politicians were hiding the bodies and committing treason and sedition. After a few years of this I decided I didn't want to be associated with a pack of pathological lying, traitorous bastards and became a republican. After a couple more years, I began to see that both parties were lying to us and while one party was treasonous and seditious, the other party was feckless and cowardly and they complemented each other, at our expense, with their "Punch and Judy" style kabuki theater. After the republican party leadership treated Ambassador Alan Keyes so dreadfully in '95, I cut up my republican party membership card, mailed it back to the rnc; told them to reassemble the card and stick it up their corporatist asses and told them to never ever ask me for another dime and never ever send me any more of their putrid political literature.

  The unholy stink of both parties fouls my nostrils and burns my lungs. I became a full fledged conservative activist and have been so for the better part of two decades. The battle is won on the ground, by patriots who willingly spill their own blood so that others may not have to. This is an old battle and we slept through much of it, but the so-called "Tea Party" that everybody and their brother is so threatened by is only about five years old and by technical definition, not a political party at all...it's a political movement and it spans the races, age and gender gaps and political party affiliations...that's what's got the political and financial "One World Government" types in a tither. Look how far we've come in just five short years! Look at our successes! We've hit a soft spot and they felt it in 2010 and again this month! Since both democratic and republican party leadership are committed to the destruction of this country and both commit treason: one party through commission, the other party through dereliction, it is incumbent upon those of us who love this nation to grow this movement into a ground swell tsunami and wash these progressive nazis, commies, islamists, statists and corporatists out into the middle of the Atlantic Ocean; there they can have their little confab, their little political correctness love fest! I hope they can swim!

  Hopefully, when we cleanse the Republican Party and shore up its bases and destroy the Democratic Party and its allies, the kind of shit that happened to Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) should come to a halt. At least, it's something to work towards.

  • Similar story for me. Young and dumb Democrat, had the world opened up to my by being an Intel Analyst. Don't trust Republicans either.

  • I completely feel your pain. I was young and Dumbocrat once. I joined the military during the first year of the Reagan Presidency, and woke the hell up.
    Now I am so disappointed with the Republicans that I have a hard time identifying as one, but know that our best chance is to stick with them for now, and as you said, take them over from within. If we can get enough Conservatives into the party, we might be able to reverse the damage, maybe not in our lifetime, but hopefully for our grandchildren.

    • I expect it to take a while. It didn't happen all at once, so it's going to take more than one or two election cycles to straighten things up. I fully expect gubermint thugs to kick in my door before all is said and done.

• This is going to sound cold & heartless, but she signed up for the Democrat Party, so where's the complaint? Does she want to wallow in the same mud puddle as "Barack The Bastard"? Fine, then let's not hear any sniveling - if she want's a little compassion and understanding about her war wounds, then she needs to join with a Political Party that supports the military instead of the treasonous Democrat party..

  • The democrat party has been suppressing active service personnel their voting rights for decades. Why would this lady be surprised they would stat supporting veteran's right to vote.
