I don't want this man having the possibility to stalk me.
We as a nation need to seriously stop allowing homosexuals into any positions of trust, because they can[t be trusted; they are the spawn of Satan and when we do business with them, we do business with HIM!
But that would take all the jollity out of Bohemian Grove!
Let me tell you this, there is no way I want Big Sis touching my junk, mail or otherwise!
Don't we all think Big Brother has enough info on us all already?
I don't want to have to live in "1984", my name isn't Winston.
The technology is not going to go away. It can't be uninvented.
It's sort of like being in the '60s and saying, "Can we just forget about the pill and go back to taking sex seriously?"
Futile.
Scientists have given governments the thing they always wanted, and they're not going to just let it go.
Hackers will give us a way to get around it. I've already seen a couple of things and I also believe I figured out a way to communicate they'd never crack, or at least not for a long time.
What I'm saying is: When science delivers a method to do something with ease (as in the case of the pill) society's ethical stance shifts to suit it.
Even if you can figure out a way to protect your metadata trail from government eyes (and take the time to constantly upgrade it), the mass of humanity will not bother. They will shrug and adapt their thinking to the "new way," and regard previous generations as "weirdos" for needing privacy.
And if the global government ("global" as this prying is surely breaking down borders; whatever borders are left) has everyone's data but yours, then they will be incredibly powerful. They don't need your data. They have a populace that they can turn against you.
I trust Bruno.
Sorry, but I can't help it. Looking at this photo above, I must say gravity has been so unkind to Mr. Napolitano.
Why don't we just get it over with and give every government agency - from the Bureau of Engraving to the National Endowment for the Arts - their own spy program, SWAT team, drone force, and kill list. Then there would be a chance they might exterminate one another in a massive turf war.
