I can't blame obungholio for screwing up the ME. While he certainly did nothing to improve matters, it's been a goat**k over there since the invention of islam.
As far as the Post article? I think they toss us a bone from time to time just to keep up the appearance of impartiality. When pressed about never dogging on the Big Eared One, they can respond by quoting this story. Technically they are pointing out failure on his part, but technically the ME has been screwed for ages. Plus, nobody in this country really cares or expects for things to improve over there.
