  • Service dogs are one of the biggest scams going today. Pay some doctor a few bucks and some self-absorbed twit can bring their dog anywhere.

Thanks for your service but without a certificate all I see is a dog.

        • He can't handle the truth....Notice how he shows up like a menstrual cycle? about every 28 days or so it comes roaring back to life to bitch and moan...Just saying it seems kinda like a vicious cycle.....

  • Pensacola is my second home, every three day weekend I can, I spend there fishing with family and friends, its still normal and very conservative, this crap happened in the southern part of the state and its looney tunes down there

  • Gandhi probly rollin' over in his grave...

The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.

    Mahatma Gandhi

Edit: Ok i reckoned i was mistaken after i posted, and i was right to check.

I'll bet gandhi's ashes are not fluttering happily on the breeze.

  • Idiots don't need an ethnicity. Maybe this moron has not been made aware of the requirements of the disabled. He certainly should be fired on the spot, he has proven his own inability to manage a property properly.

  • Disgusting, anyone with a service dog, vet or civilian, should be allowed anywhere that dog. Also, let Holiday Inn know about how you feel about this.

    • Dany, it was a Best Western.
Holiday Inn is the one that took them in and helped them.

Here is the page to send them your thoughts:
      https://www.bestwestern.com/customer-service/email/customer-care.asp

Here is the complaint I sent to Best Western:
I just read the story of one of your managers throwing a disabled veteran out of the Best Western in Ft Meyers Fl.
      http://controversialtimes.com/news/disabled-veteran-kicked-from-hotel-for-having-a-service-dog-arrested/
You are going to be getting a lot of angry emails about this, and I strongly recommend you fire this manager, Vinit Patel, immediately!!
As a disabled veteran, I take this type of treatment as a personal affront, and will be sure to never again stay at another of your hotels as long as I live if something isn't done in the form of firing this manager, and a public apology given to Jason White and his family!
When I looked you up on the internet, I almost choked when I saw your link saying:
"Military Rewards Best Western® Thanks You For Your Service With Our Hospitality!"
How dare you claim such a thing, and then have one of your managers do this!!
      So much for corporate training!

      • I got an auto reply, and there is another way to contact them to voice your displeasure if you like:
Thank you for contacting Best Western and allowing us to address your
        concerns.
If your concerns require immediate attention please call 800-528-1238
(accessible from North America only), and a Customer Relations
Representative will be happy to assist you.

    • Screw That. My property rights supersedes your wussiness that makes you need a pooch to pet.

Like it or not the Hotel is private property and the owners should be allowed to decide what enters not big government supporters who want to tell everyone how they should live.

I suppose you were in favor of making those Christian bakers to create a wedding cake for that Lesbian Couple as well?

In both of these cases I disagree with the businesses actions but I support their right to do it. That is what Freedom is really about.

      • There doesn't eem to have been a problem until the dog ate something in the hotel that made him ill. That seems to be what really triggered the eviction. Seems Mr. Patel wss afraid he may be held responsible for the dog's illness, and possibly death. So throw them out immediately!

      • This story is not about pet friendly hotels, but a hotel taking issue with somebody who has a service dog. There is a difference, & in this case, the hotel manager can go to hell. I also hope that Holiday Inn gets some negative reaction with people taking their business elsewhere.

As for the gay wedding cake, I'm all about forcing people to do business against their will. Really? Anyone here at this site who has read stuff I post knows that is something I am not about. But you could have come up with a better example, like the gov't forcing people to buy healthcare.

        • So you are in favor of forcing a business to do stuff you approve of but against forcing them to do something you don't

          Aren't you special?

BTW if you had read the article you have known that the dog wasn't a real service dog.

          • He WAS a "real" secially trained service animal. The family was on the way for further training with the dog. Did YOU read the article?

          • I am also aware how it has been abused by charlatans and has created an industry for lawyers to sue small businesses for everything for firing a mechanic who was legally blind to having to install a $50K elevator so people in wheelchairs can get to a dance studio.

          • So because ofa few scammers, everyone gets punished? How do you feel about government assistance programs? Should we discontinue them all because there are notable numbers of scammers in each of the programs?
