• Okay here is a good laugh for your Sunday, no irreverence intended.....From It ain't holy water......

  While the priest was presenting a children's
  Sermon, he asked the children if they knew
  what the Resurrection was.

  Now, asking questions during children's sermons
  is crucial, but at the same time, asking children
  questions in front of a congregation can also be
  very dangerous.
  In response to the question 'what is the resurrection',
  a little boy [Charlie Baumann] raised his hand.

  The priest called on Charlie and the boy said,
  'I know that if you have a resurrection that
  lasts more than four hours you are supposed
  to call the doctor.
  It took ten minutes for the congregation to
  settle down enough to continue the service.

• Sure! Change thousands of years of religious tenet in order to murder the unborn.

  Will they first determine if they would have been Democrat or Republican voters before they abort them? Then they could save the Democrats!

  • And even that, there are abortions and there are abortions. To kill a developing baby because it implanted in a tube,or on the intestine, or terminating a pregnancy where the baby cannot survive is a far cry from abortion on demand because someone chose to have sex with no protection.

  The idea that we have to "change with the times" is absurd, because these times now are no different. The leftist notion that what they're rocketing toward is "progress" is insanity of the worst order.

  • God is unchanging. Unlike politics residence, spouse or job, those of us who believe don't have the option of just changing what we decide we don't like or agree with in our faith. Only a lifetime liar like Hilary would even attempt such a statement.

    • Actually, people changing their faith isn't that rare of a thing. But to do it because someone like Hillary says so? Not a good idea.

      • that really isnt what rose was talking about. a committed person will remain steadfast those are the only ppl that matter in this convo. either way for the government to infringe on someone like that is unconstitutional.

        • I think Flash is saying that there are people that change their minds about their beliefs... which is true, but that has NOTHING to do with the conversation at hand as her view points and desires are not directed towards people who aren't steadfast in their beliefs, but rather directed at those people whose beliefs ARE steadfast.

        • I am completely in agreement with both of you that Hillary, or anyone else in government, should have no say whatsoever in anyone's beliefs. That is, of course, unless those beliefs are actually harmful to others, such as Islam, which I believe should be shut down.

          All I'm arguing is that there ARE people who change their beliefs midstream, contrary to what Rose stated.

        • Yes but that is not what rose was saying lol. She never stated that ppl cant change their beliefs, just that ppl who do believe dont have the luxury to pick and choose the fundamental truths of their belief systems and those fundamentals come from G-D and He is unchanging. I guess being Christians we have a shorthand lol

        • I am not being clear I think. If one believes in God, that God is unchanging. If you continue to believe in that one God, you don't have the option of picking and choosing what, and if, you believe in Him(Her). That is not to say your understanding cannot grow, but for instance, if you do not believe Jesus was the Incarnate God, then you aren't Christian, no matter what you claim. Now if you were raised in a specific church, and as an adult felt you could not stay there like a Muslim or Jew who converts to Christianity, that doesn't change God, or what it means to be Christian. If you were raised in a particular denomination, and you disagreed with the man made rules of that denomination, then to move to a denomination you feels comes closer to the will of God, then you might change denominations. Is that any better?

        • What I thought you were saying, and what I was talking about, is people who change their belief. Entirely. Such as, if I were to suddenly begin believing in Christianity, or people who ARE Christian deciding for themselves that it's just not true. These things do happen.

          And I understand what you're talking about when people come to a point of disagreement with their church, and seek a different one. My ex-wife was a Jehovah's Witness, until they told her to do something that her heart told her was wrong. Without changing her belief in God, or Christ, she went to a different church that allowed her to do what she thought was right.

        • So, no believers have ever become non-believers, and vice-versa? I could give you names of people I know in person who have swapped. But they didn't do it because a politician said to do it.

        • Flash, that is not the point of this conversation and that is not what Rose is saying. We aren't talking about flip-floppers. I am not even sure why you are bringing up this non-sequitur for. This is about a politician saying that Christian people (who are OBVIOUSLY committed) to their beliefs have to change their beliefs in order to accommodate to societal changes. This is not a conversation about non-Christians (regardless of previous stated beliefs), because OBVIOUSLY her statements is not directed to them. So why bring up people that are not affected by this rhetoric from Clinton (and others)? Makes no sense.
