  • Hey guys, don't get so cocky that you forget to go to the polls and render a canceling vote for the people that are too stupid to breathe...they'll be pulling the lever for the other guy, what's his name.

    • Not a problem, if I walk to the end of my block, I can see my polling place. Voting is always on my mind.

      • Voted by mail, two weeks ago. Haven't missed one since I became eligible. My first Presidential vote was for Reagan.

          • I remember it well. My union, which I was an apprentice in, was telling us all to vote for Carter.

            My feelings at the time went like this. I was an American before I joined this union, and I'll be an American after I'm retired. I vote for what I feel is best for America.

          BTW, the editorial herein specifies that the Detroit News is a conservative paper, so this isn't really such a shake-up. And they do approve of what Socky did for the auto industry. Still, read the piece, at least the very last section, "The course of a nation." Nothing startling to us, but stated very eloquently.
