Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • Sorry but people get the government they deserve. The people had a chance to vote for someone who wasn't crazy and make sure the crazies didnt get power. Their blind devotion to a religion of pieces led them to chose badly and now they are paying for it and I am supposed to feel bad for them?

    • There's some validity to the idea that people get the government they deserve, Kimmy. Then there's the few Christians in Egypt, I'm sure this isn't what they voted for, yet it's what they have now. And us, we didn't vote for Obama, or any of the rest of the bloodsuckers. But we have them.

      • It is true. The Coptics are an exemption since it is certain they did not vote for this, even though what's his name wasn't for them at least he wasn't actively against them and even though their lives still sucked if the other guy put his foot down and told people to stop it, they did until they went on a rampage again. This time, the rampage is non stop. In their case though they are clearly a minority so there is really very little they could do to avoid what happened. Now, I am willing to believe that there are more people with useful brains than not, so I cannot imagine why Obama won and then won again. Seriously I smell tricks and bad math, but if we need to go through this season so people get their sense back I guess it is worth it (?). *sighs*

  • Going from a sectarian dictatorship to an Islamic dictatorship, and it got worse? Who could have guessed that?

  • Obama formally ties Carter in forming Islamic dictatorships!!! Now if he can finish his work on Libya and Syria, he can open up a 3-1 lead.
