There are several counties in New Mexico where the sheriff needs to exercise his authority and pull the fangs on the forest service goons. I have seen a few greenshirts try to throw their weight around on private land just because the land borders on national forest property. A lot of the conflict comes from protection laws involving the Mexican grey wolf and spotted owl, neither of which is native to many parts of the state they have been protected in.
No problem, Obama will issue these Brownshirts orders to ignore the Sheriff, and run roughshod over the people.
The new Gestapo is being prepped for the takeover, institution of martial law, and suspension of the elections, all for the safety of the people.
I remember Glenn Beck saying something years ago about how the sheriffs in the United States are going to be our last line of defense against an abusive gov't. Looks like maybe he was right.
I think he discounts the Texas Rangers.

I have been hearing rumors of this for the past month from guys in law enforcement, seems the Forrest Service think they run the county and have been uncooperative, rube and actually threatening to local law enforcement. The days of the friendly park ranger are long gone. Placer county is looking at a similar move. The Feds think their shit don't stink, and they can do anything.
