The volt dies a quick natural flaming death on it's own....Like the Pinto it is unsafe at any speed....Plus for the price of a volt you could have bought a fleet of Pinto's. Stupid car, stupid Idea, stupid president who supports it, stupid goobermint that funds it...If this vehicle Flambe is so damn great, how come they have not made a presidential Limo out of it? How come the secret service does not drive them? Obama gave it a shot as the "people's car". Like anything he endorses, it turns into a pile of crap.
The electric car is not dead so long as the government continues to subsidize it.
And just what is going to power all those electric outlets for those cars. It won't be oil or coal. Oh, dumb me it will be wind or solar power.
I think the answer the greenies are hoping for , is unicorn farts . I mean aren't unicorns the purest form of life , thus their farts would be pure gas , perfect for a perfect society .
