Actually, ComCast/GE/NBC/Universal has things like VS, The Golf Channel, USA, SciFi, anong others. They don't need ESPN.
Right, because I always turn to ESPN for lucid and insightful political commentary, don't you? And I get sports news from the MacNeil/Lehrer report, and cooking advice from The Weather Channel.
ESPN is owned by the mouse and all their leaders are progressives. Remember this and the Tyson interview when you book a vacation at Disney. While you still can, that is. If Obama gets another 4 years Disneyland may become a place only for the families of the party members or high political leaders.

The whole lashing out at Herman Cain is really telling to me: I didn't realize just how invested/entrenched some minority communities are in their positions. All black people cannot have this herd mentality, can they? But it seems like there is a heavy toll for straying from the accepted stance (at least the one promulgated by folks like JJ, Al Sharpton, and other "black leaders) - just look at how Cosby was vilified. To say nothing of how Alan West gets excoriated....

The crows to me are a good representation of the government. You can find the right person for the job, who has the intelligence and ability, but the government will put it down if it is means that person is a threat to the way the government is runned.

The South never forgets. They were abused by those northeners for saying exactly what eveyone else thought, but kept t themselves. I seem to remember some serious shit going down in Boston because of integration and bussing in the schools.

I will add to junkin's list by adding that it was DEMS that stood in the schoolhouse doors with National Guard troops, it was DEMS that turned the firehoses on black civil rights marchers, it was DEMS who said "segregation now, segregation tomorrow, sgregation forever", & it was DEMS who did poll taxes.
It is DEMS that are race obsessed, they are the party that has destroyed the inner cities & the poor with their policies, whether or not they are black. Every major city that used to be something that has turned to sh!t has been run by DEMS forever. You vote for welfare, you get a welfare state, & you get a population of recipients who are a waste of human capital. Welfare was supposed to be a helping hand, not a generational lifestyle. Blackistone is not the only ESPN personality who has made Pro-Democrat/Anti-Republican remarks. But only Rush Limbaugh and Hank Williams seem to have been punished. I usually disagree with Blackistone when he's on "Around The Horn" on ESPN.
