I have one question. If the republicans split their vote and the democrats stay as a unified block (I know imagine the democrats walking in lockstep) could Pelosi be elected speaker of the house? Not that there would be any difference in outcomes but it would point out the sheer incompetence of the GOPe.
The Speaker of the House can be anyone--S/He does not even have to be a member of the House of Representatives. Allen West would be great.
