I think a lively conversation should be started discussing why FB would use such an "obviously sexist" graphic in the first place.
That is a good point. Not sure why the woman was behind to begin with. Had they had ONE "bald" figure or both of the genders side by side this would never be an issue.
They really screwed up. They should have gone with this one:

I didn't take it as she was shorter but as depth perception. She was standing a ways back from the man.
I don't see a problem with this. In the old one you are correct the put the man in front of the female and she was behind him. Now she is ON HIS SIDE not in front of him. That is appropriate.
The problem would have been if they had put the man BEHIND her, but they didn't, they put him on her side. I don't have a problem with this. Why is this problem and why does it merit sexist jokes like the guy above?
Actually, I don't think she was placed behind him. It's more to do with stature. In general, men are considerably taller than women. In fact, if you consider that fact, now the woman is in front of the man. Her shoulder overlaps his, which would indicate being in front, and being the same height would indicate that from a depth perspective, she is considerably in front of him.

If they were truly side by side, their shoulders wouldn't even be touching.
It is all about perspective indeed... this is not serious. It is fine the way it is... its their business and it affects nothing in the end.

Like I didn't have enough reasons to totally dislike Farcebook.
Where's the inclusion and diversity? Why are there only two "genders" represented when Facebook gives you dozens to choose from? Why does the woman have longer hair than the man? Why can we see his ears but not hers? Why is she partly in front of him? Shouldn't they be side-by-side without one in front of the other? Why does the male neck look thicker than the female neck? Also, blue is the traditional color to celebrate the birth of a boy, so the color choice is sexist.
From the headline, I thought Zukerberg was going the Jenner rout.
No one picks up that they are obviously white. Where is the hair diversity.

How come Zuckerberg doesn't have two guy Icons together, two female Icons together, two Bruce Jenner lookalike icons, two fat icons, two pajama boy icons? I am thinking he is kinda outta touch with the times..Maybe a nice rainbow nazi flag icon? What about a man and beast icon? Two women one man for polygamists? Man with a kitchen appliance? Man with a small child? Man with goat? Two turban headed icons? Oh the humanity...Zuckerberg is a racist/homophobic/hater.....where is the liberal outrage???
