Father of Murder Victim Will Campaign For Gun Control, After He Buys One. We pray we never have to go though the pain of losing a child but this guy gives the impression to us that a) he’s getting his 15 minute of fame at his daughter’s expense and now b) he’s a typical gun-control hypocrite.

The interesting thing is that I think he Dad is suffering from the 'Pope Francis' effect. He says something the MSM likes, but he isn't exactly advocating what the headlines say. The Pope gets 'great' sounding headlines, but the story is never as clear as the headline.
The dad says that he is for gun control, and he definately goes after the NRA with a pretty pathetic straw-man argument- but at least in the interviews I've seen, he talked about keeping guns out of the hands of crazy people. I don't really have a problem with that. Making that happen I guess in the details. UBCs, magazine restrictions and two day waiting periods don't actually have an affect.
If he does go full stupid for that kind of stuff, I would throw it back on him that why is he pushing the failed agenda of the left that doesn't actually address the issues that lead to the death of his daughter.
His 'solutions' are like building a chain link fence so you can skinny-dip in your pool- yes you did something, but it doesn't actually affect anything.
The pain this father feels can not be imagined. Yet his logic is all wrong. Its not the gun, its the user of the gun. Would he be campaigning for lets say, baseball bat control, tennis rackets, toilet plungers, hammers, knives, cars, chains, boots. These are all things used to commit murders in the past.
The station failed to protect the reporter and photographer. The station was aware of the guys violent out burst and fully aware that he was still in the area.
Ive said it before and I will keep saying. Learn to protect yourself, be proficient in the protection, never hesitate and above all else, center mass. Its always after the fact when we arrive to help figure out what happened, why it happened and break the news to families who are about to experience nothing like they will ever experience again.

I chalk it up to not being in the right state of mind, OR being led around by some leftards while he is easy to manipulate in his state of grief...Seen it before, someone is really down because of a death, and they get taken advantage of...
I know for a fact that losing a child is not easy, my youngest son was killed in a car wreck in 2006. But what the Parker family has to understand is Honda did not kill my child the fool driving it did, and trying to blame the car is a silly as trying to blame the gun that killed his daughter. A sad, pathetic excuse for a human being killed his daughter, a gun just happened to be his weapon of choice instead of a car, a knife or a even a baseball bat.
I pray for the Parker family and hope they find the understanding that none of us are immune to death. When God calls we go, the how and where is not something we can control.
I'm sorry for your loss. My cousin lost her oldest boy in 2000 to a drunk woman who skirted prosecution because she was buddy-buddy with the local police. My cousin has never found closure because the person responsible was never even charged, let alone prosecuted.
I agree, the left has some bizarre obsession with inanimate objects that can only cause harm through the people that use them irresponsibly. What do you expect from a party that gets butthurt over a piece of colored fabric hanging from a flagpole or a word?

The real cause of these shootings is a society that doesn't respect life and has become so self-centered that crazies like the shooter feel they are entitled to kill people and nobody notices how bat shit crazy he is.
...so by his logic, he can protect *himself*, but if a woman needs to buy a handgun to protect herself, she just has to suck it up and die. I don't ordinarily have a lot to say negatively about people that have suffered profound loss, but he needs to zip it, before he makes a fool out of himself.
Based on his state of mind, and his intent to outlaw guns, he should be restricted to buying a Super Soaker.
