Maybe the article doesn't have everything the FBI guy said. But what I find interesting is that (just judging from the words quoted in the article), there is a presumption that if the background check went as it should have, there would have been no murders. No mention of just how easily Roof could have gotten a gun on the black market, the market in which gun sales are ALREADY illegal.
There is a lot of wrong with this article and this particular situation.
This is just more proof that we need to have the federal government control our lives. Only the best and the brightest.
The fact is that we now are in a third world country....no offense to third world countries. Since Obama has taken over the entire government has gone downhill. Why? Because a bad leader will always take an organization down. Obama still maintaining a perfect "Shit Midas" score.
Guess the world's smartest man in history is just not too tech savvy. That tens of billions Obama Hell-Care website, OPM's massive data hack, and what should be a very easy database query all FUBARed.
I don't think we are a 3rd World country, not yet anyway. But years ago, Jim Quinn of Quinn & Rose fame (The Warroom w/ Quinn & Rose) was saying very early on that Obama was a 3rd World man. I believe that to be fact. He is so committed to his ideology, that he cannot love the nation that elected him to 2 terms as President. It makes me sad to see how that evolved.

He is doing an excellent job of screwing up the best country on Earth, which is just what his handlers want. He is excellent at following instructions.
The witness that spoke with O'Reilly the day or so after the incident (he was a witness to the weapon days/weeks) before the event, said that this was a birthday present from the Father... now... it could be the Father gave him the cash to buy the weapon that was never specified, but why would a gun shop owner take the risk to loose everything by NOT waiting on the background check? This story is odd.
As the story stated, if the FBI can't complete the check within three days, the store is cleared for the sale. Sounds like a rule that could, and obviously did, let some criminals buy a gun. But it also would have the effect of protecting a law abiding citizen from waiting months for an inept FBI to finish a check.
It wasn't clear to me in the story. Thanks. I do think that is not right though. Sometimes DOES need to be done, like maybe wait a little if the person is under the age of 25 or after three days the owner and/or the buyer contacts the FBI directly or something.
Since Obama has been in office, there has been a steep downward trend in the FBI's ability to get anything done. I don't think "Oops we missed one" is a very good excuse. The leadership of all federal agencies is terrible, and you talk to anyone in law enforcement about this administration and they are unhappy with what they are being directed to do.
There has been a big increase in federal agents applying for state and local jobs. When you talk to them they say they are frustrated, hamstrung by federal rules from Obama's folks and can not do their job. The FBI claiming to have stopped some terrorist attacks over the weekend of the fourth may have been more exaggeration than fact according to a couple of these guys.
Moral is at an all time low, and some of these folks are saying they new hires tend to be over the top, and have an urge to kick everyone's ass rather than do their job.
I'm not surprised. The military is having similar issues. Dissatisfaction with the Terms of Engagement, and the treatment the military is given by the administration, from showing them disrespect, to cutting their meals back to 2 per day while deployed.
I believe the only reason we aren't losing our best, is that they are hoping against hope, that we will have a real president next time around. If we don't get a major improvement, the attrition rate will skyrocket.
