Feds Ask Churches To House Migrant Families

• I've heard that in government e-mails asking the churches to help house the immigrants, some of the churches are complaining about an asterisk at the bottom of the e-mail which can be read if magnified:

  "*Said church agrees to provide contraceptives, abortifacients, and transportation to abortion clinics for immigrants who express a desire for these services whatever the teaching of the church or the conscience views of its members. Said church agrees to gay marry any immigrants who express a desire for sod..., I mean, this service, whatever the teaching of their church or the conscience views of its members. Said church agrees to register immigrants to vote in U.S. elections using the following formula: 'Do you wish to register to vote as a member of the Democratic Party?' The person asking the question should be nodding their head in an affirmative manner. Consent is deemed to be given if the immigrant answers 'Si', 'Yes', or nods their head in an affirmative manner in response to the questioner."

  • The more I read, the more ridiculous it got, but the more it seemed possible that it was an actual statement. That's what scares me, that I can find this believable, coming from this administration.

• If a Rep prez was asking this, the PC media would be doing priests gone wild segments.

• The Government shouldn't be asking the Churches to do anything. The Government should not be talking to the Churches to do anything. Definitely the Government shouldn't be ordering the Churches to do anything.

  Churches and charitable organizations (be it religious or secular in nature) can and should help, but they should not be made to or asked to or compelled to by Government agencies. If they act to do goodwill, the Government can get out of the way and let them come and act in goodwill or add to what the Government is doing.

  However, why is the Government expecting for Churches and other charitable organizations (be it religious or secular in nature) absorb the problem that was created by the Government in the first place?

  If the Government expects them to do something, then yes the next step would be for them to send these children back in respect for the laws and to promote family unity.

• Democrats care more about separation of taxpayer from money.

• Gosh, Not So Deep, there's a difference between churches lending out their facilities for charitable purposes, and interfering with government policies.

  My community polling place is in a church. As long as the church doesn't try to influence my vote, or change the voting process, it's not in violation of the Constitution.

  How funny that you righties see nothing wrong with letting churches provide help to the poor and sick and disabled, but get hot under the collar about churches providing aide to a bunch of brown skinned refugees. Go figure, huh?

• Why is the left doing this? They are always clamoring about separation of church and state. Why is the ACLU not in full uproar of this "violation" of the 1st Amendment.

  Now that the left and quagmire have been challenged by those who have seen through the smoke and mirrors of this "humanitarian crisis". They are turning to the one sector of the nation that they loathe the most. The church. Those within the church need to look at the administration and tell them that they believe in the laws of the nation. The compassion of Christ and his position on the laws of the nation. Therefore, the churches and its leaders will take in those who are being held in deplorable conditions. But they will be taking all measures to return the "children" back to their parents and their home nations. As a child needs both parents and need to be with them.
