Feds driven to admit dozens of Land Rover seizures were wrong

• Interesting point in case anyone missed it.....the Feds arrested, yes arrested the Land Rovers, they technically didn't confiscate them or arrest the owners, or the importer. By doing this I believe they were relieved of having to read anyone their rights or provide a free attorney as the Land Rovers are not citizens. This forces the owners to pay for an attorney if they want to fight it. This being expensive, means generally no one's going to spend $50k to get a $15k car back so the government attorney gets an easy "win.". Save for the pro bono attorney the sneaky bastards would have screwed everyone over.

    with the notation "For Export Only" and keep the cash. You are screwed out of a vehicle, the government gets paid, and some export dealer makes a profit too.

Having seen McConnell, Boner, and now Ryan kiss Obama's ass, it just points out the total corruption that exists in Washington on both sides of the aisle.   So the government screwed up? That is normal SOP for this administration, everything they do is wrong, just like taking the money from the man who owned a convenience store down south, Asset forfeiture laws and asset seizures used to be used against drug dealers and cartel members and even terrorist organizations. Now the government has gone rouge and is using those same laws against anyone who disagrees with the current cow flop leadership in D.C.
