Karma, Baby!
Karma Flambe'
Instant Karma?
Looks like a form of Russian roulette owning one of these green beauties. I hope the car had an Obama bumper sticker on it.
Or a Biden '16 sticker, LMAO!!!
Ryan 2020!
Another fine example of spontaneous EV Car combustion, pretty soon it's going to cost more to insure them then to buy them.
I wonder if comprehensive auto insurance cover these type of fires? At some point the companies are gonna start raising the rates for the coverage on these cars. Insuring $100,000 cars that turn into bricks or a bar-b-que briquettes with no prior warning is not good for the P&L statement.
Sure ... fine ... make me out myself.
With the caveat that it truly does depend on the insurance company, fire is almost univerally a covered peril. Just the same, I would be less inclined to claim this on my insurance and more inclined to give the auto manufacturer the "prison love" treatment.
Additionally, there are few mainstream insurance companies willing to cover a vehicle of this value, let alone $100k rolling crematoriums.
What is the carbon footprint of a burning electric car?
I was just going to bring up the fact that these "green" vehicles seem to emit more greenhouse gases than the internal combustion engine.
Eleventy!
Oh my God! I hope the poor tree it was parked next to is okay.

Actually that's a very accurate statement for Woodside. I had a client up the road from here who cut down a long dead Oak to put a small barn up for her horse. One of the neighbor's evidently had a fit and reported it. She actually had to hire an arborist to certify the tree was already dead and still got fined. It's tree-hugger central. I'd guess that the Fisker owner and/or the grocery store gets a bunch of shit over this.
The Ford Motor Company is unveiling an electric car with a body entirely made of plastic...
I believe they're calling it 'the Cher'.
They better not sell it in Arizona, owners will go to the parking lot after work and find a puddle!
Way to wind up and put some stank on it!
Bravo!
There doesn't seem to be a terrible sense of urgency there to put out that fire, does there?
Maybe they were concerned about a reaction from the combination of burning lithium and water.
As an aside to the post this appears to be the parking lot of a nice grocery store on Woodside Road that I stop by for great coffee sometimes when I'm out. I wish I'd been there to see this one.
