I lived thru the Carter stagflation, now its quagmires version of it. Every time you go into the grocery store there is sticker shock. Every time you open your utility bills, there is sticker shock. Now we are all told things are just fine. Yea right. They are just fine as long as you live in the big WH or are a member of congress. The rest of us be damned.
My cellphone or any other bill comes with all these mysterious taxes.
If you call around and probe eventually the truth comes out: These are all taxes and costs that the government imposes on businesses and they pass the cost along and they won't absorb it.
The only solution is for the government to be stopped, but businesses and citizens we are not standing up to stop them are we?

Sorry to get off topic, but this is interesting. California is one of the few States to put restrictions on hunting wild boar. Most places recognize they're a pest and have no bag limit, no closed season, and no weapon restrictions. Kalifornia requires special tags and state legal guns that just don't have enough easily accessible ammo to face a large heard of pigs.
So, on Monday, a dike breaks over there. The break was caused by... wait for it... wild pigs burrowing.

You know I learnt three different wild boar recipes this past week and I was telling myself I wish I could get my hands on wild boar to try those. How does one get wild boar without actually hunting them?

I actually haven't had any wild boar yet. I am planning on going on a guided hunt when I am able to, and if I can bag my limit, I would be happy to send you some to try out.
There is a place not too far from here that has a deal where they take you on a hunt, and you are allowed to take up to 3 boar. It only costs $200 last time I checked. It would be cheaper than buying pork!

pardon, KQ, dependin' on what part of TX you're in, one can generally find javalina, although I must admit that I may misunderstand your meanin' of wild pig. I know on JSC property, the undeveloped side, there are feral hogs, but I haven't seen them, and idk if hunting them is permitted, but you can pretty much find a pig killer just about anywhere's, so yeah, ask around.

That's OK, Obama has the solution. Raise the minimum wage to $400/hr!
That will fix everything! The people will have tons of money, prices won't go up, because every employer is rich and can afford to absorb the increase, the higher wages will increase tax revenues, which will give him more money to spend on welfare for illegals, and Senior Citizens can continue to scrape by on a 1% increase in Social Security, because we need to give more food stamps to the poor, lazy, and illegal Democrat voters.
That is the center of the issue here. That people ACTUALLY believe that rich people/employers/companies be it small to titanic corporations are all so rich with bottomless coffers that they can all absorb all the taxes, all the increases in regulations and wages, and all costs of any kind. That is impossible*. The only way for an organization to make profit is by passing along those costs to the consumer to everyone else will feel the weight of the costs. When governments lead by people like Obama say that they are not taxing you and me, they are ONLY taxing the corporations, they are either stupid and know nothing on how the economy works, or they are clever by stating that truthfully they are not actually taxing everyday people, so the blame is on the businesses. So people would blame them instead of the government. It is so disgusting.
*Even though I am not in the belief that wealth is limited: I believe that wealth is limitless. I believe it is available to anyone who works hard or is not limited by government or evil individuals.
No matter if it is a little or a lot, wealth is available to every person on the Planet. No matter their beginning, no matter their history or place of origin, everyone has the chance. Anyone that wants to attain it or is in a place where the government or evil individuals do not place any restrictions to attain it. Which is in my opinion, the number one reason why most people are desperately poor. They live in a place where the government is evil and corrupt or the government is weak and has no power to undermine or destroy evil and corrupt people.
Government again is a problem no matter how you look at it.
Obama knows that taxing corporations is just a round about way of taxing the end consumer, you and me. He just takes advantage of the fact that so many people are too dense to figure it out.

Obamacare proves it... however, insurance companies made it very clear that the high prices are BECAUSE of Obamacare and they make damn sure that every single letter or phone call essentially starts with "Due to Obamacare... [They use the actual name]"
Now every day companies when explaining taxes are just coming out and stating it that it is the state/federal taxes and not the company that is sanctioning these fees. Businesses are not saying anything or being active, but they are not allowing the government to remain above the fray. Many are educating their customers.
That's why I like to see the little signs on the pumps at the gas station, that list the various taxes per gallon that are charged. They should be on EVERY product. Show us the percentage of the cost of each product that goes to taxes, from the original producer of the raw materials, to the manufacturer and his employees, to the transportation company, the retailer,.....
That won't happen, because the goobermint doesn't want you to know that they make more off of every product than all the other people combined.
